Title: Undercover Boss
Post by: articx on December 27, 2012, 07:32:23 am
Have you ever met your boss? If your boss went undercover in your job, would you know who he or she was?

The owner of the company, no, I wouldn't know him if he went undercover.  Most of the people in the company who are above me other than him though, yes, I would know.

I have seen some of the "higher-ups" in my company in training videos, newsletter photos, etc... I don't know if I would know them for sure if they went "Undercover Boss" in the store.  I do love that show though.  My boyfriend makes fun of how happy I get toward the end when they help the people they worked with and improve their lives.  It makes me feel good that there are people in the world willing to help others.

I am self-employed, so I guess I'd know if I went "undercover".  I used to work for a big pharmaceutical company and I wouldn't have know the BIG boss if he went undercover, though.  I love that show too!

:wave:I wouldn't know the major boss, but my boss and his boss I know.  The one time I met my boss' boss I don't know how I knew it was him, but, when I seen this suit walking up I just got that feeling, and made sure I had my uniform on correctly.  Which isn't our normal practice at the place I work.

I like watching Undercover Boss, and I would not know if my boss went under cover.

If my boss had come to the store undercover I wouldn't have recognized him. I like watching that show. It is so nice of the bosses to help the employees out. Plus it makes the employees more fond of the company. :)

Never heard of it.  I'll check it out though.  Seems like it might be interesting.

I like that show! And I have seen my boss enough times to know if it is him!

I like that show too. When I was working, I do not know if I would recognize by boss.

Our office isn't that big, so it would be pretty obvious who it was.

Yes I have met my boss.  She comes to our store and makes an appearence quite often.  I feel that is very important.

Our company is kinda small too, so I actually know him, but I do not work with him or in his presence every day. Matter of fact he's almost never around, so although he's not mean and I have nothing against him, I prefer things the way they are now. Lucky me, I guess.

I wouldn't have know the head honcho of the company i worked for, but knew most of the others in our district. , which covered 7 states. But i always figured if yu do the best you can and are always willing to do just a little more there would be no problem.

No I would not.  I subcontract work where my jobs are sent to me via the computer.  I would not know the bosses of any of the companies I work for.

I had three or four jobs during my working years that had fairly wealthy bosses, but I would have known all of them because they all visited the different plants, offices, and locations they managed.  On one job, I worked for the second in command.  I haven't watched the show recently, however, because I was beginning to get bored with it.  It mostly had a good, heartwarming outcome, but the format is always the same.

I am a municipal clerk so my boss is actually the Village board (3 people). I am the only full time employee in the office (there is 1 part time employee) so I know the 3 people who are my bosses pretty well and think I would be able to tell!

I like to see employer helping employees to be better workers.
