I go to a few movies, but since I have movies channels I am home most of the time.
with POPCORN.
-
I still prefer the experience of going to the movies; however, most that come out these days are utter crap. So I subsequently go to the movies rather infrequently.
-
I prefer staying at home because watching movies at the theater is not as comfortable and it is always cold.
-
Home because it cost too much to go to the movies, the snacks cost too much and people usually make too much noise to enjoy the movie. I wish I had a big screen to set up more of a theater atmosphere but to me netflix, my own snacks and comfort of my couch is the best.
-
i like watching movies at home it saves money and if i have to use the restroom i can stop the movie and not miss part of it
-
I love going to the movies but with the ticket prices and popcorn I've been staying at home more often now
-
I have never been to the movies, Why if we have internet and movie channells. :)
-
I don't go to movie theaters as often as I use to but I still like to go see a good movie whenever I can.
-
I watch a lot of movies on next next most the time. But I was the other day to see the hobbit with my grandson sons and son-in-law at the movie theater it lies live fun juice goes movies with them.

I don't really go out to see to many movies anymore like I used to, now I tend to just stay and watch one of my many moive channels or just order one on PPV

I have not been to a movie theater in YEARRS!
Since JR high- High school.
I have would much rather stay at home, it cost less and I love to snuggle up with my hubby in our warm home. ;D

I like to watch movies at home...you can have food and party...you can pause it when you want. I do usually see one movie a year on the big screen...this year I will see Great Gatsby. Have a Happy New Year!

And to add to that excellent point, the rude people who talk through a movie and ruin it for everyone else.

Well for my son and I watch movies at home a lot and we get out to the movies. Having a child you would want to get out of the house and do things like this, to give them different experiences.

Before 2009 that was the way it had been for me too. ;)
I agree with you that I would much rather stay at home. I am not a big movie buff, but even if I was I just enjoy the comfort of home and being able to pause and replay the movie at the points you want and take bathroom breaks without missing anything. Oh and I really like the fact that there are no restrictions on food. Two theaters I was at wouldn't allow you to bring your own food to force you to get food at the concession stand which is too high for me. I'd rather buy some candy from the store and bring it than get the expensive concessions. I'm sure others would agree and especially since the ticket by itself is in some cases more than $10. :BangHead:

No I don't go to the movies anymore not since there are ways to watch them on the computer or on tv the with movies channels they have.
-
i dont know it depends alot of times i like to stay home and cuddle with my honey and make popcorn on the stove and then spread out on the bed or couch but then there is times that i want to go and have a night out with just my honey and me and leave the kids at home with a baby sitter and enjoy a new movie that just came out and eat movie theater popcorn mmm how i love movie theater popcorn but the down fall to that is you have to get dressed up and you can spread out and get comfortable then you have to deal with people talking and there is no pause button if you have to go to the bathroom so over all i think i prefer sitting at home and enjoying a movie
-
I do both, but mostly I stay at home.
-
Staying at home is a lot cheaper. Not only can you get movies themselves cheaper, but you don't have to sneak in snacks so you don't have to purchase over-priced chocolate covered raisins. I actually enjoy the experience more, as I don't have to worry about noisy people or having to drive anywhere.

Why go to a movie theater when the movie will likely go to DVD, and/or play on TV? The DVD release is paid for once and can be watched multiple times. It may also have the scenes that were removed from the movie for its theater run.
-
Post the shooting incident in the movie theater, I prefer to stay home. What I do is buying movies from target and watch them with my family members. Once in a while I go to the movies.
-
Once in a while we go....I like really clean movies so we can only go once in a while. But it is a fun experience (although expensive!)
-
I am a big movie fan, and if I'm a big fan of the movie coming out, or the director or is a very anticipated movie, I'd rather go watch it on the big screen. But not all movies move me to the theater, most movies I'd just watch on DVD, Bluray or Netflix, or TV channels.
-
I haven't been to a movie theater since the 80's. lol We usually wait till it comes out on dvd or wait for it to be on tv. :peace:
-
We have a big family. There are 7 of us, so it gets pretty costly to go to the movies, so we usually stay home. However, we did just see Les Miserables. It was great to have all of us go to a movie for a change and, of course, it was totally awesome.
-
I still prefer the movie theater.
-
id rather just stay at home it has gotten so expenisve to go to the movies nowadays
-
I love going to the movies. I enjoy watching movies in the movie theater. I saw the movie, "Lincoln" in theaters recently. The film was excellent. I would not be surprised if, "Lincoln" were nominated for an Academy Award.
-
id rather stay at home and watch a movie,,then go to theater :dog:

I haven't been to a movie theatre in so many years since the new technology there really is no need unless you want to see a movie really bad when it first comes out and even than they say you can rent them the same day they are being shown at the movies. But lately my oldest daughter went to the movies I forget which one and than my younger brother went to see Abraham Lincoln and he took my older brother with him and they all said they enjoyed being at the theatre it kinda makes me wanna go to the movies again :)
-
I prefer to stay at home, make a big bowl of popcorn and enjoy a movie on the big screen tv.
-
I like them both. Sometimes it's good to go out t the theatre to see a movie. skip the overpriced snacks.
-
stay at home with my boyfriend and cuddle up in bed. we just got a tv in our bedroom with all the movie channels!
-
I like the movie but it so expense so we watch a lot of movie at home i love lifetime and ABC fox they have good movies
-
I like the experience at home better but sometimes I go to the movie theater if it looks like a really good movie. I have had movies ruined too often by other people being loud and obnoxious during the movie.

i like going to movies if it free!!! These days movies tickets are even expensive than a gallon of milk. If you know their discount days then
you're in luck!! :'(
-
I would rather stay home and watch movies , I hate it when i would go, and not be able to enjoy it, or worse wasted my money on something i did not like.
-
I like to stay home and wait for it to come on dish on demand and rent it of there than I save money in gas, snacks, soda which are all exspesive when you go to the moves.
-
going to movies is fun but cheaper to watch at home.
-
:) :) :) :) I love the movies me and my little she like the movies so you need to go to the movies you will see that it good to go so you need to go for self and you will like it so go see.
-
Who can afford to go to the movies? For tickets, popcorn and drinks for 2 people you are looking at an easy $50 versus redbox, microwave popcorn & a 2 liter which will run you less than $10...and you don't have to wear any pants ;D
-
We stay at home because we have our own theater room.
-
There are some new movies that when they come out I go to the movie theater to see. Other than new movies I watch them at home.
-
[/b I stay at home haven't been to a movie theater in years

Hi,
I love going to the movies especially when it is a nice and very big cinema. My favorite cinema to go to is the Regal Cinema. This cinema is huge in size and presents with a futuristic look and feel. The one I go to in Atlanta even has and upstairs floor. I love riding the escalator and if you don't want to ride the escalator you can take the stairs. True, the items at the concession stands are very high but because I personally feel like a tourist I pay it and complain later :)about how high the prices are. The best part of the theatre is that it has many, many, theatres inside the cinema and you are always guaranteed a seat to any movie, thus, alleviating any overcrowdiness. Love going to the movies I FEEL LIKE A TOURIST WHEN I AM THERE :) :).

We go to the movies occasionally but mostly we have family movie night at home. We have a five disc player so we will put in some Disney movies for the ten year old. An action for my husband that the little one can watch. And then once she is in bed it's typically romance type for me and the 18year old. We do up a couple bags of popcorn and stretch out on our bed and the floor. Sometimes the :dog: is even in with us and curled up against me most of the time.

Just stay at home, no expenses and safe.
