Post by: reiddb on January 10, 2013, 09:03:10 pm
Well~we've had it....all of us!  It's been 4 weeks now.  1st headaches, fever, and chills.  2nd sinus stuff (THOUSANDS of kleenex and plugged ears). 3rd the coughing...goes into the chest.  Drags on and on and on.....anyone else with these symptoms??

Not yet. We passed around a rather lovely sinus infection at work last month, but I don't think the flu has really hit that hard yet on this part of the west coast. I heard the CDC was predicting a rather long and bad flu season this year. Hope you feel better soon.

Have had a very mild case of it compared to others that are suffering from it here.  Some people are sooo sick, feel so bad for them.   :(

I've been doing just fine; however, I've also consumed a lot of garlic.  Keeps viral germs and vampires away.

I haven't had it yet (knock on wood)  I have been using hand sanitizer and washing my hands like crazy.

Everybody at work had it, seemed as if every person I encounter had it. I was fine two days ago, and then all of a sudden, I got it yesterday. Today is the second day, and it seems to be the common cold. I still don't have the chills and fever, just the runny nose and some sneezing. I didn't get the flu shot, but I might just take some over the counter med, and try to get some airborne for the immune system, in case something more serious is lurking around.

Dudes! Take this seriously. I was at my Doctor's office yesterday and asked if they had seen a big jump in Influenza ( I take immuonsuppressent drugs, so I had gotten my shot back in Nov). My Doctor said they had seen a Big increase in Influenza B, with only a minor increase in Influenza A in children. This years Influenza started in the south (FL) where you only see in the elderly and immune deficient. Most health departments will administer for free if you do not have insurance or funds to pay for cost.

I had a flu shot several months ago and I try to use hand sanitizer after I've been out somewhere although sometimes I forget it.  So far I've had no signs of the flu.

They have the flu bad in MO and are saying that the flu shot was useless here in Ohio.  So did you waste the thirty bucks for a flu shot?  only time will tell.  Be Blessed
