How many of you just use a cell phone now. Do you have a land line phone? Most people are opting out of a land line and using cell phones only. Which do you do or do you have both? Answer can be: Have both, cell phone only, land line only or none.
My answer is I have both
-
landline or cell phone I use Both.
-
We use a landline at home but need to keep a cell phone with us as an emergency contact.
-
use landline one of few people without a cell phone.
-
I have both. My landline is my main phone. Use my cell phone only when I'm away from home. Save money that way. Landline's are really cheap if you bundle it in with internet and TV.
-
I am 24 years old and have never had a landline phone since being out on my own at 18. As much as people work these days they aren't home enough for a landline bill to be worth it. Besides, cell phones work just as well in your home :)
-
i have both,,ive had my landline for over 25 years with same number,,i hate to get rid of it, :dog:
-
We have both landline and cellphones.. We decided to have landline b'coz sometimes we don't have cellphone signal...
-
cell phone for the last 8 years - only made 3 call the whole time - most communication is done via computer - like now - if you called me i would not answer - not interested in talking on the phone - thus i would not do phone surveys
-
cellphone is convenient
-
We only have cell phones
-
We have both. Have landline bundled with internet and cable so the cost of landline is almost nothing. Use cells when not at home.
-
I have been down to a cell phone since 2002. I have a landline through magicjack (connected to the computer) so that international friends can call me/I can call them more easily, but that is a recent development.
-
I really don't know why I keep the landline but, have landline and cell phone. I think eventually I will drop the LL.
-
I only use a cell phone. Once I got to the point where all my friends and family called me on the cell phone, I realized that only phone solicitors and wrong numbers were coming in on my landline. No point in paying another bill to talk to those folks!
-
We have been cut back to cell phones only for quite some time and it has been great. Only one problem, we had to call the squad for our daughter a couple of weeks ago and when I called 911 it sent me to a different county. It picked up where ever my phone was using a tower. They had to transfer me to the proper station which took time. Luckily everything was ok but it makes me worry if it would have been a worse situation where seconds counted, would those seconds that it took to transfer me have been what I needed to save her life. Something to think about for sure!!! :-

I have both, the land line for my family outside of the USA, it is cheaper to pay international calls to landline than to cell phones. Use cell phone when out of the house.
-
We have both a landline and cell phones. We keep the landline as it is the same phone number we have had for many years. We have changed mobile phone companies several times over the years and have had to change the cell numbers each time.
-
I only have cellphone now, but I prefer to have both. I turned off landline a couple of years ago to save money when I wasn't working.
-
I have a smart phone and a landline. I would drop my landline in a hot minute except It is a dedicated home business line. I plan to retire at the end of the year and I will get rid of it then.

:star:The Land line should be kept, if your retiring at the end of the year, then you dont want the smart phone to follow you everywhere. Retiring is FREEDOM a SP is not letting go. The land line stays right where it is and you can answer it or not. I think you should download some interest on the SP and have fun. :peace:

I got rid of my landline a few months ago. I only have a cell phone now.
-
I only have a cell phone and I have a feeling landlines will be heading the way of payphones. The only bad thing is if you run out of battery and you're lost in a new town in the middle of the night it gets pretty damn scary.

My answer is I have both
I prefer a cell phone portability to a land line
-
I rather have a landline instead of a cell phone. I do not like to talk on the phone, but if i have to talk landline will do.
-
I have a cell phone only. I gave up my land line. I was not using it so I did not need it.
-
Yes I just use a cell phone for house phone. I use my house phone through the computer know allot cheaper a year. I don't use either very much.
-
We have both. But the landline is never used. People use are cells to get a hold of us!
-
I only use a cell phone. Landlines are more expensive and not as useful to me, because I'm not home a whole lot, so no one would actually be able to contact me there!
-
I have both, but I prefer to use the landline.
-
Cell phones have taken over!!!!!!
Remember the 1st cell phone?= no pocket phone there!! lol###
-
I have a landline number - but no phone plugged into it. I can use it if there is an emergency, but other than that - it's just for filling in forms that require a valid phone number. The cell phone is all we really use.

I have both, but recently found out that in case of a power-outage,you will need another phone. I had a fuse-link blow up and start my field on fire. The bad part was when I lost power, I could not use myceel or land line. The power surge did something to my cell which was charging at the time. NOt a good time to be without a phone when your field is on fire. Lucky for me people stopped from driving to help and called the volunteer fire dept. and my neighbor called the electric company from her cell. My driveway was a fire break so it did not get close enough to my home to cause any damage. My sister-in-law gave me an old plug-in phone that is not wireless, which will work when you are without power. Just something to think about!

We finally ditched the landline. When the service providers offered a plan that did not bundle the land line into the package with the internet service and cable tv service, we got rid of the land line.
-
Our family only have cell phone for everyone.
-
I actually find both a land line and cell phone still are useful.
-
I only use cell phone, but we have landline just not using it that much.
-
Cell phones only. I can have my phone with me at all times. Everyone can get that way, I don't make a lot of calls on it either. But it is sure nice to be able at anytime to get important calls. Bigggest reason is my dad If something goes wrong i know right away and handle what ever it is.
-
Cell phone only got rid of the land line years ago I am not a phone person never have been so it works well for me I only call someone if I have too I can't imagine ever having a home phone again ;D
-
I have a land line phone so that I can find my cell phone. ;D
-
Cell phone only. I'm not home enough to make having a land line worth the money. However, I am considering hooking up a basic phone for 911 purposes, just in case. I will probably also consider a land line one of these days when I have kids. Gotta be able to get a hold of the babysitter.
-
We have both(we keep the landline cause of our kids
-
Cell phones only for my household.
-
I am mainly on my cell phone. I got rid of my landline a few years back. I did however get the MagicJack.
-
Landlines are good for the internet, Cell phones are portable! Cell phone only! :D
-
I have both, and I use the land-line so I don't go over my cell minutes....
-
I use both, I don't know what I would do without my landline because I put that cell phone down anywhere when I am home.
-
I just use a cell. It's a waste having both unless your cell plan has very little minutes.
-
I have both. I use landline at home and cell phone when I’m away from home.
