Title: Have you ever made the Duggar Family Laundry Soap?

Im looking to save money on laundry soap and I found the receipe from the Duggar Family (19 kids and counting) on how to make it and Im wondering if anyone else has tried it and if it works good?

I'm not familiar with the Duggar Family Soap, but I do make my own.  Do a search online for "homemade laundry detergent" and you will get a lot of information and recipes.

no i haven't made their homemade laundry soap. I need to though. would love to save money on that.

Haha I have watched 19 kids and counting before but didn't know they make their own soap. I would also like to save money on soap but I will just stick to using coupons for laundry detergent. I watched one show on TLC called extreme cheapskate where they made their own deodorant.

I love natural alternatives to costly products with lots of chemicals, but I haven't heard of that one.  There' lots of information online and I even have a couple books on having a natural home.  It's so much safer for us and saves money too.   :thumbsup:

I did not know they made their own soap, but it sounds like a great way to save money, particularly with a large family such as theirs. I'm an empty nester and live alone and don't need to do a lot of laundry.

I've seen that show 19 Kids and Counting. I haven't made my own soap and will stick to buying it on sale at the grocery store. With the money those people are making off the show, hhhmmm doubt they need to make their own soap either. I think it's ridiculous to have 19 kids and wouldn't watch the show again.

i have to me its okay  i generally wash things like my bath towel and they do smell clean but not my everyday work clothes just because i prefer the smell of store bought laundry soap i think the store bought laundry soap probably has deodorises in them.
