When I'm down and out with a cold I bundle up, take a shot or two of Jack in some hot tea, get under the covers and sweat, sweat, sweat!!! Then I get up change all wet clothes, linens and eat some chicken soup!!!!! Beats the cold 9 out of 10 times!!!

I prefer to do my sweating in the bathtub and kill 2 birds with 1 stone :) You do need to keep adding hot water because it cools off pretty fast.

My mom gave me a home remedy for a cold. when you feel a cold coming on, take some baking soda and it stops the cold. At first I didn't believe her, but now I am a true believer because it actually works.

I think I may try the vicks on my feet tonight! I've had a stuffy nose for several days now and am more than ready for it to go away. I've heard of the whiskey, lemon and honey before but we don't keep whiskey on hand so that's out. I've never heard of the baking soda but would be willing to try it. How much do you take mrisha?? My grandmother had a home remedy for everything but unfortunetly she passed away a long time ago and I don't remember any of the remedies.
