I am deeply saddened by the news of the suicide of country singer Mindy McCready. This shocking and tragic loss is so terrible. Suicide is no solution. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her children, in this difficult time.
-
Well, if you have ever been extremely, severely, hopelessly depressed, suicide could be seen as a viable option. It is really hard to understand how another person is feeling. I was assaulted and was completely devastated from it (not beaten or raped) and never did I want to commit suicide but I felt like I wanted to vanish from the face of the earth. I could never have left my family at my own hands, but feeling hopelessness is living in hell and that is not truly living.

:) ;) >:(I saw this and was :( . I don't think this is a option there are people out there who will listen to you in those deppressing times even if they are paid its better than not talking and bottle up and feel hopeless. They say excercise helps with feel good endorphins as well. I'm not endorsing medication but if it heps try it its better than smoking or drinking sorrows away. If loneliness is the problem pets make great companions sometimes dogs and cats can be a better companion for some people plus no arguements, and they are always there for you. I am a pet lover and a single parent between the pets and my kids I am never lonely. Sometimes it can be a encouraging word from a co-worker or friend that helps you trough things. anyway I hope my post helped in some way with anyone battling deppression.

I think when they started questioning her about her boyfriends death is what sent her over the edge. RIP.

This is something that is terribly sad, especially for those two precious children that are going to have to grow up without their mother in their lives.
Now I never walked in her shoes so I don't know what brought her to the point of deciding that suicide was the option, but being a person that has been hopelessly depressed, I am able to say that suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
-
Ya it's sad to hear this tragic news.Prayers to the family.
-
I don’t know her. People who commit suicide before death are in very low level state of mind. Suicide actually does more harm than good for the deceased soul. Every human has certainly experienced depths of despair in their life, and she seems to know what doesn’t kill her makes her stronger. Sure, this world is a harsh school but suicide is NEVER an option. Once death occurred, there’s no turning back. Oops.
-
Yes, it is very sad that someone see that as the only solution, but here is someone who had every possible chance to recover from addiction and seek treatment for depression or whatever demons she had. Some people are truly beyond help and I think she was one of them. Most people don't get all the help and chances that she had. Don't get me wrong, it is very sad and tragic, but I doubt anything could have been done to prevent her from destroying herself.
Sad to me to hear she shot her dog first. Why would you do that? I mean if you want to take yourself out, but the poor creature had no say.
-
i just now found out from reading this omg that deeply saddens me she was a great singer
-
That's really tragic and sad. I only just heard about her shooting her dog. That's awful. I feel bad for her family and her two kids.
-
Wow - both her and her boyfriend. I just don't get it. I am 59 years old and sure have had some ups and downs but I would never consider suicide especially after I had my children, can't imagine doing that to them but people have a lof of problems that I guess to them seem unbearable.
-
i sometimes get why people kill themselves coz i get very depressed too. when i was younger i couldnt find a reason for anyone to kill themselves but life sucks and sometimes it only gets worse.
-
I will miss Mindy alot. I think her music was great and still do. I sure hope she is in a better place. There is a lot of people out there that put her down, but we don't know what she went through in her life all we know is what the news people say but we don't know her side and now we never will. R.I.P. Mindy

I don't understand how you could leave your children behind to chance or fate by selfishly taking your life in this situation. Life sucks sometimes and a lot of times it does get worse before you see any reprieve. Hope your kids know they were loved and have a happier existence.
-
Very sad and tragic. My prayers go out to her family. I feel so bad for the two small children that she left behind. May God be with them and watch over them.
-
I think that this is very tragic. I hope her children are in good hands and have a better fate. You just can never tell what is going on in someone's mind.
-
I don't know her music that well, but she was young. It is sad that her depression got to that point because she was worried about people finding out. My daughter lives with depression. She has thought about suicide several times, and tried at least once. She is stable now, but it is an ongoing battle. I have suffered from small bouts of depression myself and it is not something you can just "get over".
Maybe someone famous will bring a little awareness to this condition and keep people from treating it like it has to be kept hidden.
-
I cannot imagine the pressure famous performers must be under; we have far too many stars who seem to "have it all" end their lives in this tragic way. Their musical or theater legacies should not be worth the cost of their lives and the price that will continued to be paid by their families.
-
Although I am no fan of country music, it is always sad to see someone talented commit suicide. Depression and troubles do run deep sometime.
-
I am saddened to hear about this also I had just read she had gone back into a rehab and than the very next day she killed herself, she had attempted suicide before but this is too sad :crybaby2:
-
I think people like this believe that their children will be better off without them. Although there is always hope for people to get better, when you are feeling the way she was I am sure that there seems to be no hope. I just hope they don't find out she had something to do with her boyfriend's death. I don't follow country music or her really, but I read that his death was suspicious.
-
I do hope her children find stable and loving homes.
-
This is such sad news. My thoughts are with her family and friends.
-
NO sympathy for her. ZERO! Why did she have to kill her dog before she killed herself?
-
I am also sad, so sad
-
Yes it really is sad.
-
NO sympathy for her. ZERO! Why did she have to kill her dog before she killed herself?
Because she could not bear leaving the dog to grieve. Dogs bond to a person and even if someone else cares for them they will grieve for the one they love.

That's CRAZY!

Yes it is a terrible tragedy...so sad...she just couldn't pull herself out of that deep dark pit and see the light that God wanted to offer her...I pray he has mercy on her soul and she can R.I.P.

No one seems to care that she needlessly killed her dog???
-
I'm sadden by her death also. :crybaby2: It seems that a lot of celebrities are getting hook on drugs and it is ruining there life. When she started she was so young and beautiful. Later in her life she seem so lost and depress. I hope her kids will be okay and I hope she is at peace. :angel11:
-
It is so unfortunate that Mindy decided to take her own life. My question is, who is going to take care of her children? She isn't here to? :crybaby2:
-
saf..alcohol and drugs will deepen being depressed and can make a person suicidal.
-
I cannot believe she shot her dog first, what the world goes on in peoples heads, and what happened to the boyfriend did he commit suicide or not, that celebrity rehab is a joke, they need to take that place down, I also heard that guy badmouthing and airing all her issues on the news, that is horrific. who would ever want to go to a rehab that is reality show televised, stupid, people need help not mocked.
-
My heart goes out to her family who will forever mourn her loss....sometimes we go through emotional pain, with panic attacks and anxiety all rolled together, and have to try and manage to go on each day....it is hard to do, if I did not have my children, I don't know if I would have made it....we don't feel for others and can't judge them....it's a blessing she didn't decide to kill others who may not have been ready to die....
-
I wish there would of been some way that I could of helped her or someone could of been there to talk with her. Where was all her friends and family ? :(
-
I had never heard of her but it saddens me that she didn't think of her two kids... my prayers are with them...
-
You can never judge another person stating that suicide is the wrong option. No one walked in her shoes, no one knew of her stresses or problems in her life. I am not saying I am a Proponent of suicide. I think Life is a gift to be enjoyed and appreciated. Some people are just weaker than others.
