Why do people like Country Music?

Because it's music, and it's what they like. Why do people like rap? Why do they like rock? Kind of a silly question. People have their reasons for liking or not liking different styles of music. Sometimes we don't even know why we like it, we just do. Why do you like the music you like?

Because it's about everyday experience and things that actually happen I think.

I like some country music because it is singing mostly about someone life. :heart:

i like country music but i also like others types of music too--i believe country music is liked so much because people can relate to the songs and it tells stories of peoples lives--

I enjoy most types of music except the extremes of Opera (cat in a blender) or Rap (Idjits beating heads on wall).  But Country music most of the time is about telling a story.  And I do like the ballads.

For the same reason people like rock 'n' roll, jazz, the blues, or any-type of music... cause it's got a beat.  I'm more of a metal head myself... love the BNWOHM era.
