Where are you having dinner this year and what will you be eating?
We are doing ours at my parents house and it's basically a smaller scaled version of Thanksgiving with a large ham and small turkey instead of a large turkey and small ham.
-
No plans, most probably will make an small ham and stuff at my house. My girls are older now so no egg hunting for me.

We get together every year for dinner and an egg hunt. We're having Ham and potatoes. Yum!
-
WE will stay home. Ham dressed eggs and potato salad and relish tray.
-
Ham, sweet potatoes, salad with hot bacon dressing, potato salad.
-
Two of our three daughters and their families will eat at our house after Church services. My 95 year old father-in-law will also join us. We'll have ham, brocilli and cheese caserole, conjealed jello salad, maybe mashed potatoes, lemon icebox pie (homemade), cheesecake (not homemade lol), tea, coffee, an olive and pickle tray and another green side dish that I haven't decided on yet. Only 1 of our 6 grandkids will be here this year so it'll be kinda quiet for sure!
-
not sure what we are having for Easter dinner. Haven't even thought about it. Guess i better start making some type of plans
-
Going to my great grandmother's house for Easter this Sunday. The whole family gets together for the children to Easter egg hunt. She lives out in the country so it's pretty easy and fun to hide eggs for them. For dinner, every one brings a dish and a dessert. This year I plan to make several dishes: Green bean casserole, mac n cheese bake, deviled eggs, and Mississippi mud. Can't wait!
-
I have to work 2pm-10 pm that day so I guess the plan will be to do a Easter "brunch" instead. Just not sure what that will include yet...having a hard time thinking of something that's good and also fast to make.
-
I have to work but I'll prolly make a ham in the slow cooker and everyone else will hopefully have a good Easter at my house :-)

No plan yet, but I guess it will be my house again. We always gather here for big holiday, and gathering around. Don't know what to eat though.

I celebrate Easter Sunday differently! No cooking!

-

-
My husband, daughter, grandson, and I are eating dinner at my sister-in-law's. Since my brother passed away, she likes to have all the family she can around her. I hear they are expecting about 50 this year. Sounds like a family reunion.
-
yeah i dont know what we are doing for easter but this is my baby's first easter so we should do something. i do want to get his picture taken with the easter bunny but i dont know how he's going to react and if he's anything like my niece he wont freak out.

3 of my 4 kids and 6 of my 8 grandkids will be coming over for dinner. I'll have ham, au gratin potatoes, mashed potatoes & gravy, green bean casserole, corn bread, snicker salad, deviled eggs, cherry cheesecake and chocolate lasagna.
-
We always go to a friends house and they serve a big dinner with ham and chicken with tons of sides. Normally we make our family mashed potatoes which consist of 8-10 potatoes mashed, a stick of butter, spoonful or two of Miracle Whip, and a few large squeezes of mustard. If we feel like it, we will sometimes add pieces of hard boiled eggs for Easter to make it sorta special but I love it anyway. Whats awesome is frying it in a pan with some butter the next day. We only get this dish once or twice a year so I absolutely love when I get it.
-
We're having ham, turkey burgers, potato salad, cherry pie and not sure what else yet. We're doing an egg hunt here at home and then meeting some friends at the park and having lunch with them, probably hide a few more eggs for the kids to find there.
-
I am probably having Easter dinner at my sisters house with her husband and kids and with mom.
-
I will be at my parents also. We always have ravioli and she might make a ham or chicken. Not sure. But it is always a pretty big holiday. And these days it is smaller then years ago, but still lots of food.
-
I plan to get a spiral sliced ham; but, I haven't decided what else yet since my hubby's dr. put him on a diet! :dontknow:
-
My sister does Easter so the family will all be going to her house. We will have ham (because it's traditional ) and chicken pot pie. We usually play board games after the meal.
-
I haven't had a traditional Easter dinner is about 10 years, Sundays are normally traveling day for work. I think since it looks like i will be home this year on that weekend I just might make a big traditional Easter Dinner. Hmmm...Ham, Mashed Potatos, Deviled Eggs. Course since Im vegetarian will have to have salad of some sort with other sides!!
-
I am going to my son and daughter-in-laws for Easter! They are having prime rib and pigs in blanket with saurkraut, plus all the other trimmings. I am going to bring my son's favorite dessert, a pistachio ice cream one with gobs of whipping cream on top.
-
I'm not having anything special Sunday but Tomorrow I'm bringing lunch to my mother. She's hungry for Boudain so we'll have that with some dirty rice and coleslaw.
-
Celebrating Easter and my birthday with family on Sunday. :) Not sure what we're eating.

We are doing a small Turkey dinner, as well. I had been planning on making a small turkey anyway (even before Easter), but they just went on sale yesterday.
I will also be making some Easter candy for the neighbors. My daughter is almost 19 and lives away from home. Besides, I think she probably feels too old to hunt for eggs. :D
:bunny:
-
I don't think my family is actually doing a traditional easter dinner this year - we're probably going out to eat tonight instead because my sister is going to be working.
-
I have to work and will visit my mother at her nursing home afterwards. I will either cook something and take to her or eat from their kitchen.
-
We will be going to Church early and then i think we will veg out. Have been on the run for a week and half and need to rest some before starting all over again.Mos tof the family will be out of town anyway. And our restarants will be having buffets so, why cook.

Normally we do a decent little spread kind of like a smaller version of Thanksgiving. This year there is some family in town that isn't usually in town so I am sure I will be with them but I don't know exactly what we will do.
-
Working so nothing special going on here. Did buy a ham since they are on sale this week.
-
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! I will have dinner at my house. Ham veggies, cookies and drinks(no alcohol), Every year I invited 3 special people to my house for ALL the holidays. They live alone and have NO family around. They do nothing for holidays. I LOVE helping people and giving them whatever I can to help them out even if I have to go without for a little while. I am so lucky because I LOVE to bake and cook and everyone loves me for that and Loves my food... I bake almost every day in the winter and have noone to give it to so I will give to the shelters, VA places, or even the nursing homes and schools. They love it and I enjoy it!
-
I am in charge this year to make the dinner. Well I took on the responsibility of the supper and dessert as my mom is very ill. I will be making 2 whole chickens, carrots, mashed or roasted potatoes (have yet to decide), peas and a salad. I will start off with a cheese platter, olives, mini croissants and grapes. Also as an antipasto I will make a cream of broccoli soup. I am quite excited for the task ahead of me today. It will be a little work but I am looking forward to it. Especially as it helps my mother out. I also have 2 separate Easter tradition desserts to make too. One is with ricotta cheese and the other is with a type of parmesan cheese. Mmmmm, my mouth is drooling just thinking about eating all of this tomorrow...mmm
-
Almost done with all of my prep for tomorrow. Made cinnamon raisin bread from scratch. Made some brioche rolls for tomorrow. Got all my veggies cut up. We are making a turkey, so all the prep I do today takes a load off for tomorrow.
We are not having guests or company, but I wanted to make a turkey anyway. :D
-
i would of probably have ham but i ended up going out to eay with my friend at applebees and chicken quesdilla.

We were suppose to have it at my house but my son got the flu and we had to cancel and now we have enough food to feed an army in my frig!
-
We had Easter Dinner at our house.
My husband baked the ham and made mashed potatoes and baked beans.
I made the cheesecake.
2 of our 4 kids and families were able to come home.
-
My dad made a ham, homemade potatoes, peas and crescent rolls. Yum
-
my son cooked for the first time this year and it was great! :bunny:
-
We had wings and leftover ham from Christmas (it was gross). And I made some cranberry sauce, which was delicious.
-
We didn't have a traditional Resurrection day dinner, but it still pretty good overall. We had salmon croquettes, creamed corn (the creamed corn had fresh corn added to it) and mustard greens. We didn't have much available since it's towards the end of the month. I hope next time we'll be able to go out to eat though.
-
For me, Easter Sunday was just another day. No cooking. Made a sandwich and had some chips.
-
My husband was great enough to cook dinner for us yesterday for Easter. We had fried pork chops, rice, and wheat biscuits (I put them on because he doesn't like to put butter on them). He finished off his butter pecan ice cream last night, but I still have mine. I will put a dent into it today. He called me to find out what we were having for dinner today. I told him there were 4 pork chops left and the biscuits, so he is planning to cook his favorite, yams (sweet potatoes) to have with his pork chops.
-
I had nachos w/quacamole...it was good and comforting.
-

Growing up I went to my grandmothers for easter dinner. Everyone brought a dish. Tons of food. Now-a-days I have no family to speak of, so I dont do much for holiday meals. My hubs and I went to a meat and 3 cafeteria to have sort of homemade food.
