Both are good I would rather work

Debt cannot be accumulated from having a job. I choose work.

If only given these two choices, I'd say work. Education is free if you take the time and effort to seek it out. I would highly recommend to always educate yourself, even if you work, or else you'll stagnate as a human being and stop developing. Luckily, we're naturally curious beings and have a tendency to learn even if we don't realize it.
Personally, I'd choose starting a business.

I work sometimes and get paid royaltys when im able too

Right now I'm attending school. I want to better my home business & I'm learning a lot from school to do that. Plus, I'm kind of disabled at the moment, so work is not something I can do.
Work would be your best bet and then school to better your education and open your mind to a business of your own. ::)

Work and go to school because you need $$$$$ to pay for school.

Honestly, going to school doesn't really mean anything. I have a degree and know a lot about computer science and programming, but that doesn't mean that a person without a degree, sitting in his/her house writing a virus doesn't know anything about computers. Honestly, the things they teach you in school can be learned at home, you just won't have that piece of paper that says you know the information.
If you need the degree for a job/better job, get the degree. If you started, quit, got a job, and now want to go back despite not really needing it, then get the degree so you can feel better/cross something off your list. If you're just getting a degree to have a degree yet don't want to go into that field for a career, then it's probably not worth it since you can learn about that subject just by reading books/stuff online.
If you can afford to do both and don't think you'll burn out, then do both. That way you get the benefit of the experience from the job and the degree from the school while saving time and reducing any bills that might be acquired from getting the degree.

I go to school already. I would prefer to work and be able to carry my own way. My husband harps too much if he spends a dollar. So I decided to do surveys to earn some cash. I can use it right now. I need a book for my next class and the promotion Amazon gave me because my adapter to my Kindle Fire is not charging would not allow me to order from third parties. The adapter I ordered they paid for through the promotion and I used my debit card to pay the shipping. I have to wait until next week to order my book.
I hope Amazon still have it at that time. ::)

I'd rather not have to work but just go to school.

School definitely!!! There is an infinite amount of knowledge in the world and I believe that the more of it you have the more successful you will be. Now, that being said "school" can mean a lot of different things, to me it is educating yourself whether on your own or in a traditional school setting. I also believe "work" can mean many different things. I believe I can generate an income without "working" and I believe the more knowledgeable I am, the more successful I will be in doing so.

I chosse work over school, school is boring and you get bored easy, if you have a job that you learn at then thats good.
I learn more at my work then I do in school.
-
I feel it is better to learn all you can from your schooling it will pay off in the long run, better paying jobs. Especially take a computer course and you will go further in today's world.

I would say If you have a really good and steady income from your job then stick with it. But if you're not and school might give you that edge. That promotion that you can get yourself rewarded for a better income, then school might be a great opportunity now, and you will reap the rewards in the future. You ask yourself this question: Do I want the immediate gratification of the job that I have now, or do I go back to school and reap the rewards that comes from a steadier job when you have a degree? Always need to know when choosing what degree you want to earn, look for one that is a "most needed" in your community if you do not want to move to another location and or state. There are a lot of people with degrees and they are still umemployed. My wife graduated in May of last year with a social work degree, we have moved to this new state, and she has a hard time finding a job until 2 weeks ago.

I would rather go to school so I can get a job that I really want. I have an okay job right now, but the hours are eratic and I am not making as much as I would like to. Some day I hope to find something better.

If what you want to do requires more school, then definitely go back to school. However, I would recommend working while you go to school so that you can cash flow most if not all of your time in school. If you don't have student loans or have smaller student loans, it will enable you to have a lot more choices in life.

This. It has worked for me! If you possess any skill set, imagine how you can turn it into a business. I'd highly recommend taking some business classes though. So, to answer your original question, do both!
