Title: what are some things other people love that you can't stand?

well, not really "can't stand", but just don't understand why others like it so much.

mine would be:

lost
harry potter
lord of the rings
american idol...and adam lambert
dancing with the stars

that's about all i can think of right now. they don't have to be movies/shows...that's just what came to mind for me.

Onions-I hate the way they crunch, the way they smell, they makes my eyes water & guess what people that love onions?!? They give you TERRIBLE breath!! YUCK! LOL

I hate  :BangHead: when you put gas in your car and the pump goes real fast UNTILL you get to the last 20 cents or so, then it goes

i don't know anyone else who likes that either. you're supposed to name things that other people like, but you don't understand why :P

i thought of another one...OLIVES! i can't stand 'em! but almost everyone i know loves 'em.

One thing for me is how guys (mostly teenagers) love the look of their hair not combed or brushed. It is almost like a style to them. They all love it. I don't consider myself a pretty boy, but one thing I tried to at least do was brush my hair.

Men with the pants in their legs, and short shirts; where you can see their boxes. Some are okay but some wear theirs with holes, old and worn or just plain ol' dirty. And if grown men in their 30's and 40's knew how stupid and ridiculous they looked, they probably wouldn't do it. I don't understand why they do this, and why most guys are into it. If one day one of them decides to trip and fall, I'm going to laugh my sides out. You can't expect to wear your pants on your knees and not fall.  :dontknow:

I really like fresh watermelon but not the candy, gum or anything else. I also think the so called watermelon smell in gum and candy is nasty.

scented candles -  I can see why people like it .. I just cant stand it. also the smell of bleach ugh horrid
collars -  I simply cannot stand anything around my neck, I even stopped wearing my gold chain years ago.
pants without pockets -  not sure if anyone actually likes those, they would have to be super comfortable for me to even consider, and even then ---  I end up deciding to drive some where real quick oh look at that no pockets   :BangHead::BangHead:
wearing your hat backwards  -  its simply more comfortable to wear it the way it was designed, & in my opinion you look like an idiot with it on backward unless there is a reason, **it was in the way while working on a car, motorcycle ect. or your on a ride at a fair .. or going fast on  a jetski  ect.

Having kids! I've never liked the idea of having kids.  They're cute for about an hour, but after that I'd go insane. 
And the outdoors, I hate bugs and stay inside as much as possible.  My sister always lays outside for hours and I could never stand having bugs flying around me and crawling onto me.  It's much better to sit inside in the air conditioning and watch the outdoors from inside.

I hate the sound of cotton *bleep*, I can't describe it though.
When you squeeze them they make a sound and I hate it sooo much.
Also the feeling of cardboard, and the feeling of folding paper... i always use a pen to fold my paper

I would have to say coffee.
And drugs and alcohol.  Being healthy is a passion with me.  Don't understand why people would compromise it, or enjoy waking up with a hang over.

sports, nascar, hip-hop/rap music, country music, blondes, cell phones, technology, the new breed of youthful actors in hollywood ie: zac efron, miley cyrus, etc., human interaction aka socialization, oh my...i think it would be much easier forme to just say what i like. :angry7:

Summer -I don't like the heat. I hibernate during the summer months.

I know it's been said, but it's worth repeating....Baggy britches! I hate 'em.

I know this is about things you hate...but I have to say I like the smell of gas (I don't huff it...lol) I just like the smell of filling up the gas tank.

I also like the smell of skunks....Am I weird???  I wouldn't want one to spray me or be close to one when it sprays...that might be too much...but I like a distant smell of a skunk.  :dontknow:

Black socks with sandals... It really bugs me like crazy when men wear hawaiian shirts with shorts and black socks that go up there calf with flip flop sandals. There should be a law against looking like that what sense does that make... The point of sandals is to not wear socks especially not black ones at least white would look slightly less goofy but that is just me.

my outside dogs like to eat skunks :dontknow:
(we live in the woods, pretty much on the side of a mountain)
it's disssgusting to wake up to the smell all around the house.

 :wave: Yep, that's weird..lol. I don't like olives, mushrooms, crawfish - around here crawfish are pretty popular but not worth the mess too me. I don't care for American Idol, Lost or Survivor either. I also don't like the baggy pants, socks and sandles. I think some of the hair colors I see are only good for Halloween..I know, I'm getting old :)

I thought of something else....I was in the store the other day, browsing, and there was this girl next to me talking on her cell phone....she had it on speaker phone and the girl she was talking to kept saying "Is everyone hearing me right now?" and they would laugh like it was sooooooooo funny. They kept talking about annoying things and then they would say "I hope no one is listening" (more stupid giggling) THEY HAD IT ON SPEAKER!! she KNEW that....of course we were listening, we couldn't help but hear it! (eyeroll)

Anyways....I can't stand stuff like that.....just thought I'd share...lol

I read the whole series, I used to like it, until these little teen girls started going crazy, then
I realized how lame it is, it sets a fantasy for girls out there, it makes their expectations of guys out there higher, thats why when they are in a relationship, it pretty much goes down the hole

Any type of reality TV show pretty much you know the competition ones like American Idol, and the biggest loser, and the dancing one, and the island one, and the house one, and the cooking one, and the other one, and the other one, and the other one, and the ones on the other channels too, I just hate them I don't know why.  Now don't get me wrong I love my Deadliest Catch and I don't know why that is either I started watching it and I just am addicted, it's strange very strange indeed.

i can't stand it when people talk with food in their mouth i think that it is sooo rude. it also gets on my nrves bigtime when someone les on he tru living word of God

Starbucks, or any of the coffee chains. It's such a status thing that turned into a daily habit. Coffee from the Gas Station or 7-Eleven is just as good, if not the same, if not better because it's under a buck. These people that HAVE to have their Starbucks every single morning annoy me.
Don't want to offend those of you drinking it right now.

and i agree with this as well. when did that stupid plastic or paper cup become an accessory? or a symbol of status? my hsband worked at a small, family-owned coffee shop when we met and he made coffee drinks that were way better than starbucks and cheaper too. and when we moved in together i bought him all the coffee and espresso machines and stuff he needed to make me coffee drinks right in out very own kitchen. no more wasting money on starbucks over priced and inferior coffee crap!

though i have to admit that i do like some of the baked goods they have at starbucks. but what i do is i try them once and then i find out how to make them myself so that i don't have to buy them anymore. i've already done that with their cranberry bliss bars, their blueberry apricot muffins, and their cream cheese danish. and mine come out way better because their not sitting in a glass case for who knows how long before i get them.

The movie Titanic.  I thought it was the most over blown, cheesy movie of its time.  Watching it was slow torture when I wasn't laughing.

Television, I can't stand to watch an episod or movie for hours and ofcourse harry potter it's dumb for me I really hate it

I can't stand hip hop, or rap... pretty much anything that MTV will play.  I don't like MTV.  I also don't like fish or seafood.

I don't like reality shows about teenage hipsters who are clearly uneducated morons, or reality shows that are about celebrities. Hate what MTV has become. Don't understand why people like fast food hamburgers so much, either...to me they are bland pieces of shoe leather muck within a soggy bun.
