Title: $1.00 pay for posting check
Post by: plennis on April 21, 2013, 07:09:49 am
I have been trying to post my check for a couple of days.  It keeps giving me an error message saying it is not the right size.  I have been following the directions you have and don't know how to change the format the picture comes out in.   HELP

I'll try to help. I usually take a picture of my check with my Microsoft web cam. After I get the pix I use MS Paint to edit out all of the background and leave only the check. This usually makes it the right size. I think the acceptable format is jpg. That is my cam's default.

I don't get a check, sorry it is automatic deposit.  Should I print that page and take a picture then edit like you do for a check?

It's really simple to do without any programs except for your default paint program.  Even if you have direct deposit all you would have to do is go to your banking page, press the "Print Scrn" key on your keyboard, then go into the paint program and hold Ctrl and V to paste the screenshot into Paint.  There you can edit out what you don't need for the pic to be smaller.  I usually open 2 paint windows and use the "crop" tool then cut by using Ctrl and X to cut what I crop then I go to my blank Paint window and press Ctrl and V to paste the smaller cropped image.  Then you can save it as a Png/jpeg/jpg all acceptable formats for the pic posting bonus request form.

I'm having the same problem too, but I finally got it posted with parts of the check missing.  I hope it gets approved.

 OK, I think I understand now.  The check pictures are posted on the picture page when they are paid.    I understood waiting for the money, I just didn't get waiting on the picture too!  :notworthy:   Thanks for all your help and replies.

You need to be patient. Since you just uploaded this latest pic and you just requested your 'Pic Bonus', you won't see your pic in the 'Payment Pictures' sub-forum until next month. That's also when you'll receive your $1 Pic Bonus. It usually takes at least 30 days...sometimes up to 45 days. When you requested your bonus, you agreed to wait 'up to 45 days'. So, that's what you need to do. I've received 4 Pic Bonuses so far (3 with the old system and 1 with the new system) and I've always had to wait 1 month before my $1 'Pic Bonus' was credited to my account. The confirmation email that FC sent you is just to say that they have received your request and that your pic met the requirements. As long as your request wasn't denied, you're fine. So, now you just need to sit back and wait. :peace:

Thank you. I was wondering what was taking so long for my pic to show up.  :)

I tried posting my check on the fc new site several times, but only part of the check is posted, so I'll try to attach the check to this post.

You are just like me, I thought it posted immediately.  It will not post until it is paid.  As long as you got the email saying  they got it you are good. (Unless for some reason they deny it).
