Do you like to read? How many books do you read per week. I average between 3 to 5 per week.
-
I read about 3 to 5 books a year. I read a 400 page book in 2 days once and I read a book in a week lots of times. You most read all the time.

No, not so much but I read the USA Today paper and do a fair amount of reading online. I read a lot of stuff on wikipedia online.

I have been in love with reading all my life. I can't go a day without reading. It keeps the mind flexible.

Your a good reader! I used to read romance novel, but I don't any more. I should start reading again, but all of my time goes on doing surveys for extra money. :)

Yes. A number of years ago, I realized that I hard time choosing which books I wanted to read first. So I will typically read 2 - 4 books in tandem. Read one for a while, pick up another. They are usually related in theme or idea.
I am not currently reading any books, at present. I have been focusing on academic papers.

Yes, reading does the brain good!

Yes enjoy reading I have a house full of books thanks to my husband. Think if I were young and starting out with reading i'd go for the kindle or something like it. You can get free books on the kindle I believe.

I love to read. I read 4-5 books a month.

I love to read. Would ather read then watch tv. Really like being on the computer, just cannot stay at it for long times because of my back. So am on it off and on all day when not busy doing other things. Like house cleaning, laundry and all that good stuff. Also love painting on my gourds for the craft shows.

Me, too. I have been reading far too much non-fiction. I think my brain needs a rest.
Might finish re-reading Still Life with Woodpecker with my husband. I highly recommend this one. It is funny, witty, and charming. It is about cigarettes, red hair, and how to make love stay. ;)

I'm much the same as the OP. I can read very fast and could polish off a book a day if need be. I'm reading much less now that I used too and must get back to it.
Must reads for everyone: Dark Tower Series, Dragonlance Series, Forgotten Realms.

I have loved to read as long as I can remember. I read a mixture of history, historical novels, the Bible, best sellers, old favorites, biographies, and I have my favorite authors that I read mostly. I was a rather lonely child because we lived in the country and I had no close friends. I felt I could live another life in a book. My daughter is an avid reader who now reads more than I do, and my grandson loves to have books read to him. He is learning to read and write and math before kindergarten.

Yes.

Yes I love to read it will take me a week or two to finish a really good book; I have always love to read since I was a child.

I love to read. Now that I have a kindle I can carry my books with me with no problem. Wonderful investment.

I absolutely LOVE to read! I read for self empowerment (lately I've been reading Iyanla Vanzant and after I finish her books I'm going to get into Joel Osteen), self education (Robert Kiyosaki, Napoleon Hill, etc.), to set a good example for my kids, and enjoyment (right now I'm reading Street Divas lol). I want a special reading area for my home, whether it be a comfortable reading chair, a hammock, or whatever, I just like to light some candles, slice some fruit, and enjoy me a good book.

:D I  to read....reading takes you to other places...where you can actually picture the surroundings in your mind...It can make you wish that you were -& it can make you want to go to wherever it is that u r reading about...It all depends on the story.
I think that's awesome... :peace: :peace: :peace: :peace:

I love to read. My father was an great reader and rarely watched TV. As I began to read, he never cared what I read as long as I read. I grew up on comic books then graduated to novels, remember Nancy Drew? Now I probably read 2 to 3 books a month.
-
I used to be a much more avid reader than I am now.
I strive for 30-40 books a year, but lately that hasn't been happening.

Reading is one of my all-time favorite things to do! Generally, I read 1-2 books a week. I still prefer the "old fashioned" books but am slowly transitioning over to e-books and listening to them. But I so love to read that I read all the time! Cereal boxes, magazines, the Internet. A lot on the Internet. When I was younger, I would take books into the shower with me so that I could continue reading them while I showered. Pretty crazy.

I have loved reading since I was a young child. Now my reading is because I am working towards my Bachelor's degree in Accounting and the minor in Information Systems. I love reading the Bible as well.

Not really in comparison to what you do apparently. I generally read a few books a year though that's cause I can't find things that interest me. I've taken to reading text books so I can learn more for my future career. Not exactly the same as reading a classic.
-
No I don't read for fun and try to read as little as possible. Especially with more and more stuff having to be read online. I dislike videos for the same reason now, a few were cute, but now omg! Any e-mail I get that says watch this video goes into the trash.

I love reading mysteries and most times I can read a book overnight if it is really good. I read as many books as I can get my hands on.
-
I love to read. I read daily for my own enjoyment and also to my children. I've had a love for books since I was a very young child.

Yep, me too. My second home seems to be the library. It's our standard joke in the house here, because our local library allows up to 50 items checked out at a time on your library card and I am usually maxed out. Each morning my boyfriend asks me, okay, okay, how many of those are due back today? I actually keep track by their website, because I can't.
I tend to favor good mysteries and Christian fiction.
