Calling on the FC family members that are pet parents, dog-people and those that are willing to help save a life. :dog:
There's a petition that still needs 3717 more signatures, it would be great if the family could have them all by the end of today, Sunday May 19th!! (I have signed the petition, it did not result in any unwanted spam or solicitation).

Thank you, I hope so too. How sad to lose her dog when it was only trying to protect her. My yellow lab is very protective of the cats. When they start playing with each other and it sometimes gets out-of-hand and one of them will get a little MAD and start playing too rough. My lab will go grab the one making trouble in her mouth and she has sometimes tried to drag one away from the other. She's never broken the skin on them but more than once she has had cat bites/scratches on herself. Just think...if the dog were human and the cats were dogs, the cats would be on death row. :o

UPDATE ON COURT APPEARANCE
Major win today! The city is giving up possession of Phineas to a veterinarian to be cared for while litigation continues. Instead of $5.00 impound fee, they are now charging $10.00 impound fee which we will try and fight but at least we know he will be safe.
The appellate court granted a stay and sent it to the local court to determine whether there should be a bon...d. The court set the amount of the bond bond to $1300.00
We also went to asked the court to appoint a guardian for Phineas. The court was afraid to rule on that leaving it to the appellate court .
Please keep sharing, donate if you can and Phineas in your thought And prayers.

I hope things work out. I would hate it if anything bad happened. I understand how the other family feels but it is not right to take his life for doing his job. Thanks to ALOT of caring people, society & "the times" will be changing for the better hopefully. This whole situation is just wrong and now the family can't even have their dog back if they WIN because of threats made by others to shoot Phineas on site. :angry7:

Here is Phineas with the only family he has even known since he was 6 weeks old. He hasn't seen them in 11 months thanks to mayor Gary brown. Look at Phineas' smile. It's heartbreaking that he can't go home to them after this is over.

geez, if this were my dog...I'd get one of my Peta friends to help me get my dog back and I'd move to another state. (There's alot of great people in Salem, Mo but your mayor & city officials STINK!!)

Consider giving a donation to the caring donation page which goes to court costs and boarding (lawyers are working probono.) The link can be found in various places on the Save Phineas FaceBook page.
The Save Phineas FaceBook page also has a list of phone numbers for the City Officials posted for those wishing to make calls.

Please help in any way you can. Please share & reshare to get the word out. Please pray and keep the faith. Time is running out for this dog on death row. If this dog had did what he did ("mouthed a girl, did not break the skin to pull her off the top of his little human girl that she fell on) to get her out of a burning building---this dog would have been a Hero!! Instead, the city officials have abused him for almost a year and would rather use the town's money and have him destroyed rather than let him go home!! The more publicity this dog gets, the better for him!! :heart:
