I read this on nbcdfw.com. "Accused" Ft. Hood shooter paid $278,000 while awaiting trial. This murderer continues to receive a salary while our returning vets are struggling financially. Is anybody else outraged by this?

Blame the government.

Outraged would be an understatement not only because of legitimate service folks but how about the rest of us out here trying to make it from day to day with no work, no enough work, high prices. Please, it is enough to make you sick.

It has been said, "Innocent until proven guilty". But that goes beyond outrage! You shoot people and still earn a salary while everyone else suffers because of your problems? I frankly do not get it. :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

I watched a special on a man who was one of the victimes. He was shot and the government has not been giving him the benefits he deserves. They have classified it as "workplace violence". If this was not terrorism, what is? 9/11 victims got benefits this man cannot receive. As an Army guy, he should have gotten combat pay at least. And why Nasam can draw money for his family from prison really sickens me. This man can't even feed himself and his wife. He has since retired from the Army and moved in with relativesin another state. Can you blame him? Why has our government turned on these people who have given body parts up to serve their country and rewarded those who killed our servicemen? Laws must be changed!

That's just awful. I don't understand how things like this can happen.

That is beyond despicable. Even if that mass murderer is "innocent until proven guilty," he should not be getting one cent until the trial is over (then all he should get is a rope!) Today the government treats heroes as criminals, and criminals and terrorists as heroes. Political correctness has reached new lows with that murderer. The lawyers drag everything out to make more money off the taxpayers, as well. The trial should have already been over and done with, since he's not "alleged" but proven by multiple witnesses to be a mass murderer.
Isn't it ironic that when it comes to known terrorists and murderers, the government invokes the Constitution, but when it comes to good law-abiding citizens, they try everything to get around the same Constitution?

I feel ya!!! As far as I'm concerned, he should be sitting on Death Row awaiting his "72 virgins." (Yeah, right!)

Almost...unbelievable!
