Title: Radio Loyalty
Post by: VampyreVixen on May 30, 2013, 10:25:09 am
So, is anyone else having problems with the Radio Loyalty?  I got one song listened to and BAM! connection was lost.  Ugh, what? None of my other pages did this.  So, what's the deal?   :angry7:

Haven't had any problems with it just disconnecting like that. Although there are times were Adobe Flash will crash on me and I'll have to refresh and start over, but that's Firefox for ya.

If you have a small/old computer -- one with less than 1 GIGAbyte working memory (ram), you will have problems running Radio Loyalty.  It uses Adobe flash for a lot of the video ads and that requires lots of cpu.  I have an old desktop (XP processor with 1.99 Gigabyte ram.) It usually runs at 60-80% cpu and frequently at 100% when I run Radio Loyalty on it -- and I can't run much else on that PC at the same time.  I do have the countdown stopwatch running at the same time but don't think that uses much cpu.

Look at the Windows Task Manager on your computer to get a sense of how much memory and cpu usage occurs when you open up the Radio Loyalty site.  (click Contrl/Alt/Delete at the same time to bring up the Task Manager).

No problems except that Adobe Flash has crashed on me.

I haven't been able to get RadioLoyalty today; the screen just comes up black and refreshing doesn't help.  I've closed out and came back to it a couple of times and that didn't make a difference either.  Will try again later though cause I could use the extra pennies this last day fo the month.

I haven't had that problem and I use radioloyalty almost all day. As it was mentioned on the post above it could be because your low on RAM and it is insufficient memory for handling multiple tasks. If this is the case look into how much RAM your computer is equipped with. You can easily upgrade it and it is not too expensive. It is also pretty easy to install it yourself and there are numerous videos on how to do it. But hopefully it was just a glitch for you to avoid extra expenses.

How much working memory do you have on your computer?
If you have a "My Computer" icon on your desktop, click on it and then on "Properties".

The amount of RAM (working memory will be shown in the description towards the bottom of the page.  My old (2005) XP Dell has 1.99 GB Ram  (I thought I only had 1.25GB), and I have problems with Radio Loyalty on this old computer.  Works fine on my laptop with 8 Gigs Ram.

Are these the security codes (phrases) for the Dawn, Crest and Mr Cleam commercials or other types of captchas?.  I haven't had any problems entering these phrases and rarely see "regular" captchas.

Does the captcha refresh link work?

I did have this type problem with the old captchas (before the video ad captchas), but then I just waited for the 1 or 2 ads to finish playing and the captcha box would come up eventually and allow me to enter the captcha.

Have you cleared your cookies and temp files recently.  Not sure whether this will help, but it won't hurt.

Well this is just my work computer.  So, I'm sure nothing is wrong with it.  It's a new harddrive too.. But we shall see now.

If FusionCash Staff is seeing this can you all contact RadioLoyalty and let them know that the whole right side of stations are blacken out and I still only have the 8 stations on the left side of their site. This is day number 2 and refreshing the site does nothing at all I am using Firefox and it is the same thing on Chrome too. I am going through my 80's music withdraws I miss my 80's music!   :crybaby2:    :sad1:
