I am named after my dad. He died August 18th and I was born December 28th.

I'm not named after anyone. My name was chosen from a book :dontknow:

I was named after my dad's heyday-past girlfriend. Not an easy life for me.

I was named after the daughter of a Republican President! Which is an insult cuz they never asked me whether I wanted to be pro Dem or pro Rep.!!!! Therefore, I chose; Undecided :-\ or no party/independent! LoL! Now, that they're both retired, they're going to understand why, I lean towards the Dem party. :wave:

My sister named me after a teacher that she liked. I've always felt it suited me.

I am named after my mother's best friend.

My middle name is from my great grandfather on my mother's side. It was going to be my first name, but my father wanted to do this play on it like F. Scott Fitzgerald did with his name and so, it became my middle name. Of course, that play on the names never stuck, and I still go by my first name and not my middle name.

Not named after anyone. Dad pick it up for me and wish that's the way I will be!! :)

I believe I am named after Marlo Thomas. Nobody probable knows who that is anymore.

When my mom was pregnant with me, she was reading a children's book that a girl was names Camellia and that's how she decided my name.

I'm not named after anyone. My Mom just liked the name. My name even has an unusual spelling.

My Daddy named me. I am not named after anybody he knew, he just liked the name.

My brother named me after a girl in his class (he was in 2nd grade when I was born).

I'm named after my father... kinda. He actually changed his name from his given name to his name now. I was given the longer version of his name. So, I'm not a junior, but my name comes from a version of my fathers name.

My first name is after my Dad and my middle name is after my Mom's little brother.

My first name was picked out a favorite song of my mom's and popular back in the day. :D
I believe my middle name is for one of my mom's aunts. :-\
However, my dad REALLY wanted a boy and he wanted to name me Bruce. :sad1:
I'm glad I turned out to be a girl. No offense to any Bruces out there. :peace:
Anyway, my parents gave up after that and didn't have any more children, so I'm an only child. Everyone thinks I must be spoiled because of that. :bs:
BTW, I was always asking my mom to have more kids but it was a no-go. :'(

A woman in Clarksville, Tenneissee (where I was born) and I have the same first name, except my mother decided to be unique and added an "e" as the fourth letter in my first name and the other woman's first name is spelled without the e. My sister is named after her aunt. I named my daughter after both of her grandmothers, except I had to add four letters to make her middle name. My brother is named after his father. My youngest sister is named after my mother, but they have different middle names. My mother was named after my great-grandmother. :o :o :o :wave:

I was named after no one. My mother thought the name was pretty so she gave me that name, lol...

Mother says me father named me after an old girlfriend, but my middle name is Mother's first name. Not sure if the first part is true. :)

My mom heard my first name on the Price is Right game show and loved it.
My middle name is the feminine version of my father's name.

Please don't laugh,,,,,,, :D I was named after a nun from the hospital i was born in.
my mom went to hospitl on the 4th of July,,,,, didn't have me till the 6th of July, back then they kept you for like a week. This "nun" was in to see my mom everyday and her name was "Sister Teresa" So My name is Teresa After her :)
I always thought it was funny that I was named after a "Nun" because "God" knows I am no saint !!! :angel11: :angel12:

I am named after a German movie star. Of course, I have no inclinations toward this type of occupation, but it was nice to know.

An Aunt who had cancer (first name)
My aunt with cancer was pregnant with what she thought was a girl but was a boy, so my middle name is what she planned to name the girl baby.

My name was randomly picked by a nurse so I have no clue what I was named after. ??? No joke my mother ask the nurse to name me well that's what she told me.

I am named after Annette Funicello. When my mother was eight months pregnant with me my father was watching the Mickey Mouse show with my brothers and when they said their names he liked her name and he told my mother that if I was a girl he wanted to name me Annette. I have always thought that was cool.

There is 8 of us in my family and each one of the boys were named after my uncles. My 3 sisters and I were named after my dads ex girlfreinds!!!! WOW! Im surprized my mom let him get away with THAT deal! :heart: lol

I have a weird korean name, Sang, but my moms name is Saeng with an e, so i was name after her but with a male twist

I was named after my Aunts.

I'm not named after anybody but my initials come from my father's name just reversed. For example his initials are XYZ and mine are YXZ. Actually when I think about it my middle name is sort of from my father's first name.
