The plans I have for labor day are spending time with friends and then working on my jobs. The holidays don't really seem like holidays anymore. I love spending time with family and friends don't get me wrong but things are different now than when I was a kid and attitudes and actions of those around you have changed. I am thankful fo what I have and am thankful for those who have fought for our rights. Trust all of a wonderful and safe Labor Day.

Hoping to finish some yard work, expanding a flower bed to make more room for veggies next year and make it easier to mow the lawn in that section.  Need to finish roughing some electrical work in my basement.  And maybe try my hand at making refrigerator pickles with my cucumber harvest.

One of my friends is coming up to New York from Florida and we're going to hang out and I'll probably have a BBQ with my family.

And over the weekend I'm participating in an Open Studio/Art Bazaar dowtown and hope to sell some of my art.  Fingers crossed.

I really don't know what I will be doing.  I would normally be spending the day up in Mackinac walking the bridge, but with all the stuff going on with my family right now, we are talking about skipping our traditional travel for something less stressful but nothing has been finalized yet.

Being a stay at home mom your holidays dont really change any.  it will be the same ole day here at my house.  husband will be work 12 to 16 hours i will be taking care of baby boy nothing new here.  just hoping that it starts to cool off here in the midwest so we can once again go outside. staying in the house is getting old.

Labor Day happens to be my cousin's 21st birthday and is the day before my 55th birthday (my birthday is September 3).  My husband is barbecuing some ribs and I guess we will have a nice, calm evening.  I feel blessed to be age 55.  It is bittersweet because my mother passed of a massive heart attack on April 14; she was 55.  :(

Hopefully stay away from the hospital! My husband hurt himself and I hope he does not have to spend any of the holidays in the hospital. I will be waiting for the call from the Doc and see what step is next. Wish me luck and Good Health!

I really don't have any big, special plans for Labor Day besides eating some barbeque.  However, I am looking forward to the opening weekend of college football.  I am ready for all the action and pageantry that is college football - the rivalries, the upsets, the highlights and the lowlights.  So yes, I am ready for some football.  Gig 'em Aggies!!!

I am planning a birthday party for my mother who will be turning 103.  Her actual birthday is September 4th, but I think we are going to be able to get all of the family together at once by having it on the 2nd.  She has a great grandchild that she has never met before.  This will be a huge, fun celebration!

Who knows at this pint. Hubby is still down with the gout and is hard for him to walk, lakes will be crowed so don't want to go there. Maybe just out to my dads and do his laundry and clean house. Or maybe i will just do mine, Hubby wil be going to the dr. on the 4th, finally. He needs to get back to work.So i have time to do my crafts.
