The start of football season for real is tonight! Who is ready for some NFL football?

Happens every year! Sadly due to all the criminals, drug abuse, grousing about money, and all the other garbage that has become professional sports I just don't get excited about any of them anymore. That is sad coming from a once avid fan of NFL and MLB (lost interest in the NBA much earlier for the same reasons).

Sorry for the downer. I will watch the games but just don't have the love that I once did.

I am so glad we now have the computer, i don't have to sit and watch a whole game. I will wander in and check on the score on the way to the kitchen for more tead but too just sit there i can't really get into it. But i do like to watch high school football. They just pur their hearts into it.

Any "professional" sport is nothing more than big business and the loyalty of most players to their team, the fans, and the city they represent extends only as far as their bank account.  I'll pass.

I am sooooooooo happy that my hubby has headphones and can listen to his games until midnight and I can go to sleep... I am glad Patton Manning did so well last night, but I didn't have to watch it...

The only thing that excites me about pro-football is the National Anthem.  My husband, however, is obsessive about those poor Minnesota Vikings.

My husband is so happy football season is back, he loves football, but me not so happy.  I'm not a football fan but sometimes I will watch a game with him, especially if they have some good half time entertainment.  I do enjoy basketball.  The game moves much faster and I have a better understanding of the game.  :female:

I don't really watch football myself. Just never could really get into it. But my mom is very happy. Especially now since we're living in the state with her favorite team.

My dad loves foot ball he gets so worked up over it every year it's fun to listen to him yell at the tv "GO GO GO GO YEAHHHH! WOOHOO" cracks me up every time.  ;D

I am not a sports person so it really doesn't affect me.  I just don't know someone can seat and watch a sporting event several hours.
