I can't really say I like bolagna....my friends here tell me that's because I never had it fried, however, it is one of those things I crave from time to time and just have to have....like velveeta.

no I like ham

I agree. I'd rather have ham or smoked turkey than bologna. Even fried I don't think it tastes that good. Maybe that's because when I was growing up, my mom would never use bologna because of its high fat content. The closest that she'd use would be turkey bologna, but even then she'd rather get sliced turkey than the turkey bologna.

Have you tried deep frying bologna in fish batter (flour, water, a little salt) - it's delicious with fried and frozen peas!

We eat it once in a great while, You can get the grocery meat market to slice it about 1/2" thick and bbq it on the grill and it is pretty good that way too..

I like bologna lunch meat in my sandwiches even when I was little, but I stopped including this years ago when I discouraged based on health magazines.  I'm eating a lot more tuna now even though I am not as crazy about it.

I probably eat bologna every 5 years and it has to be under the right circumstances. It must be on white bread with mayo and lettuce. Other that that it's not my favorite lunch meat. I prefer ham.

I have loved bologna all my life (or baloney, as we call it here in the South).  I like it in sandwiches plain or fried, or even eating it out of the package.  I grew up on it.  We were poor and didn't have much choice.  Baloney, hot dogs, peanut butter, and vienna sausages.

There was a point in my life in which I loved fried bologna sandwiches, unfortunately as of last year I can't even stand the smell of it. I've eaten at least 350 bologna sandwiches in my lifetime....NO THANKS!!!!

I do like it fried, but really I prefer it cold.  I usually add cheese (either American, Colby, or Swiss), lettuce, tomato, sliced onion, and dill pickle slices.

Old time   rag  bologna,  that the butcher cut, is the best.  You  do not find to many butcher shops  anymore  and it is a shame.

Not really, but I actually bought some yesterday to tide me over until payday. I think Oscar Mayer definitely has the edge if you can get it on sale. I used to love bologna cups when I was in elementary school. They would fry it until it curled, then add a scoop of mashed potatoes and top with melted cheese. Maybe I'll have that to eat today instead of a sandwich.

Ew. I really do not like bologna. I think it's weird. I don't like the smell, texture, or the taste. It's very rare that I would eat bologna. I would never eat it fried. GROSS.

Bologna was a mainstay type of item on my list to shop since I was little and grew up eating them in my sandwiches. Ever since I was encouraged to eat items like tuna instead for health benefits as an alternate I seldom eat this now until I'm traveling with others and packing sandwiches.

I loved bologna sandwiches with catsup, both on crackers and on bread, but since I have become more conscious of eating healthy I never buy bologna.  It is pretty much junk meat and full of ingredients that are not good for you.  I still might eat one occasionally (like any other junk food item.)

I fried bologna sandwiches it was a hit.

Okay so this reminds me of a story my cousin told me. You see he is special forces and some of the guys sort of made a deal to take turns cooking for each other. Well one of them went all out with a fantastic full steak dinner not leaving anything out. The next guy made fried bologna sandwiches. It is just silliness. I for one can't eat the stuff. I do not like it at all.

Yes I do, but it depends on the brand and how it's sliced. I think Eckrich or Oscar Mayer had some good boloogna from what I remember and to me thinly sliced bologna tastes better than the thicker sliced bologna. To me it gives it a more deli style taste that is more similar to my more preferred meats like ham or turkey.

I have never had fried bologna, but I've heard it's very good. I'd like to try it some day. I've had salami that was boiled. That help rid it of some of the fat and it tasted very good especially with potato chips.
