Do you like hosting your own yardsale or just like going to others ?? and if so what is the best treasure you found ?  :)

I have not been to a yard sale in awhile. Years ago my mom and I would go to yard sale's every weekend.

I like going to yard sales. I got a george foreman grill for$5. I bought a vacuum cleaner for $10. I have found lots of nice things at yard sales.

I live in an area with a lot of people who are extreme hagglers and I hate fighting with people this way - hence the reason I don't do garage/yard sales as often anymore. Also, when there is a lot of people there is always the anxiety of theft, which means I usually like to have extra family around to keep an eyeful watch.

Just had a yard sale both days this weekend.  We used to do them more but haven't done one in a while.  I don't go to them myself I just have them.

I've never been much of a yard sale person.  I always feel weird going through other peoples things.

It has been a while since I have gone to a yard sale. I think I should start going again next spring so I can add more classic collectable books to my collection and get my kids more toys at a better price. I like helping other people, instead of corporations, out during this economy.

I haven't hosted a yard sale, but I think it will be fun to do so.
I do enjoy going to yard sales to see what's going on and perhaps find something I like.

I have had a few garage sales but feel they are a lot of work to not get much out of them. I prefer going to garage/yard sales! I get clothes for my grandkids, decorative items and tools or fishing things for my hubby.

I don't like either, really, but probably going to help my mom have one soon.  It's always nice to have that extra cash after you have one, though.

I like going to yard sales more than I like hosting one. I really like finding nice things in other places.

I enjoy going to them, but my wife doesn't like them all that much, so we rarely stop.

We have co-hosted one with our next door neighbor a few times in the past.  We really didn't have enough to hold our own, and they didn't have much of a variety of items (most of it were items they had a large quantity of the same item of), so it worked out well.  Our city now requires a permit to run a sale which I believe costs $15 and only is good for two or three consecutive days, and you are only allowed two or three permits a year.  This was implemented to stop homes essentially having weekly yard sales as a means of business, which neighbors began complaining over due to the traffic, people, and general eyesore they have to look at on a weekly basis.

I don't host yard sales, nor do I go to others yard sales.  Buying other peoples junk is not a turn on for me.  People are simply not clean.

I probably prefer going to them. They are more work than you think to host them.

Used to go to yard sales with my mom and grandmother every weekend.  They have both passed away  so I very seldom go to any.  Miss them terribly.  Thought about

having one of my own I  have enough stuff  lol   Just getting the time to do it I guess.

Did find a fantastic corner cupboard one day,,,,,  brought it home, sanded it and then painted it,,,   beautiful  :D

Still have it,,,  that was about 10 years ago.  Love that thing  lol
