What is your favorite? Brownies or cupcakes? Warm or cooled off?

Thanks ok now I want both like brownies out of the oven.Martha stewarts recipe is pretty good made once. more expensive then the box but better and not hard to make.

Given a choice most of the time I will go for brownies over cupcaakes any day. Especially, if the brownies if the brownies are warm and fudgey!! :wave: :peace:

i like my brownies warm with a nice large cup of coffee for my snack at lunch time.

I would NEVER EVER say no to either Brownies or cupcakes!! But if I can onlt chose 1, it would be to have Brownies and to answer part 2, I prefer my Brownies cooled off a little

Warm brownies fresh out of the oven are yum yum on the tum tum. So put me down for the brownies over the cupcakes.

Nice chewy brownies warm from the oven and topped with a thin layer of fudge frosting topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yummy! ;D

Brownies!!!!!!!!! I have never been a cupcake lover. Besides brownies are all chocolate and if you put chocolate chips in them they are even better.

I gotta agree with most everyone else on this one. Warm gooey brownies right out of the oven. With an ice cold glass of milk. It's true cupcakes are so much more versatile and have that whimsical look to them. But someone on the first page of this thread said, "who ever heard of red velvet brownies?" That's a darn good point. The poor brownie has gotten overlooked. I think this may be a challenge to all of us home cooks... break off the traditional brownie and experiment with new flavors. Who knows, maybe after putting for efforts in this quest, I may just decide to stick with the classic brownie - it works.

This is going to be an odd answer, but I'll take cupcakes over brownies because of the mediocrity of cupcakes.
I absolutely love a good brownie when done just right. When it's nice and chewy and has the right tasting chocolate, it's perfect. I've had bad brownies though. The chocolate wasn't right and/or they were either too hard or too cakey or too thin. So much can go wrong. When they're great they great, when they're bad they're bad. I just hate the disappointment. I love'em warm. Things can go wrong when they cool off too. Leave'em in the wrong place and you've got a thick cookie (assuming they had any height to them to begin with... then they're just a cookie).
Cupcakes on the other hand, I've never had a bad one but I don't think there's such a thing as a "good" one either. They just are what they are. It takes a lot to get them wrong. They do their job. I can't be disappointed because I have average expectations for them. I can take them warm or not. Doesn't really matter.
My vote goes to cupcake. Impressively average.

I like both. I like brownies warm from the oven and cupcakes when they are chilled. They're both good to me. I love brownies when they have lots of nuts in them. Yummy!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :wave:

??? Am I really supposed to be able to choose between two such delectable treats and I can't because i like brownies and I also like cupcakes. So which I like better would be whichever I happen to have onhand at the time. I like both room temperature no exactly warm right out of the oven but not cold out of the fridge either. Yum hungry for sweetie sweets now. :wave:

For me, it would definitely have to be brownies over cupcakes. Nothing like a batch of double chocolate brownie fresh out of the oven - warm and gooey, dripping with chocolate. Yummmm.
