This is our first year to spend Christmas at our Florida house..... all of our grandkids are teenagers (or older) and just want money or gift cards..... so its going to be easy-peasy.   I am looking forward to decorating "from scratch" down here!

Not yet; but will probably star in the next two weeks, not doing large scale shopping this year so it should be fairly simple and of course not costly!!!

I started a couple weeks ago and that's it.  I do like to be done around the beginning of December, but am sometimes lagging behind.  I always decorate right after Thanksgiving.

Not me; I don't like to Christmas shop. People seem to act their worst at that time of year. I always procrastinate until the very end. It is nice not having to buy for small children , now I can just give all the guys money and be done with it. If they wanted something special then I would go but they always prefer money. Hey! I'm not complaining at all. :peace:

The commercialization of our Lord's birthday makes me sick. I'm still trying to figure when the Lord's birthday became a day about "things" for us. Don't do it, never will.

I haven't yet, but this year, my husband and I are doing a smaller celebration.
We only really have to buy for our niece and nephew.

In lieu of gifts for each other, we are going to buy a big TV for our home.

I'm late starting mine... I should be done. But it looks like I'm going to Black Friday (or is it Thursday?) and the remainder of my shopping will be done online. Crowds are not my favorite.

#1. Sorry for correcting you on this, but I was corrected by my son and granddaughter so I figured I would just  throw this out here... but putting Xmas is like leaving out Christ when this is the most important part of Christmas..( I did same thing until my 4 yr old at that time, told me this).   well my Christmas shopping is just about done. I started in June and July and now I dont have to worry about last minute shopping. And all the rushing around. next week will be the last of my shopping and I will be DONE! YAAAAH for me!! ;) Oh and I also have shopped for 16 people. :peace:  8)

We are scaling back Christmas this year. The past few years the family has grown through marriage and babies and the amount of presents has grown exponentially. This year we are only getting presents for the children and our spouses. We still plan on having a big dinner. With Kroger's mega savings sale they are having this week, we already made a pretty big dent in our Christmas dinner list. I'd say things are going pretty well so far!

I'm working on November birthday gifts.  I like giving cash and cards for Christmas so people don't have to deal with returning junk, etc.

I shop for Christmas year round.  Whenever I find a good deal or discount on an item for Christmas I purchase it to save money on Christmas gifts.  Love those sales.   :)

I actually bought a couple of presents back in the summer.  The only presents I have left to get are for my daughter.  I have a couple of things for her, but need to get more.  I spend more on her than I do anyone else.

I started yesterday.  I tried to treat it like it was closer to Christmas so I would get more done.  I have most of it done with one or two more things to pick up.
