what day do you shop for groceries and what day do you think is the best day to shop for groceries is?
-
wednesday...when the week officially begins for groceries...they have everything in stock that was on sale..if you wait to shop till sat or sun, sometimes they are sold out
-
the best day to shop they say is on tuesday but they are opening boxes and putting things on shelves so i go on wed so i know everything is on the floor

I like to shop on Sundays. The new ad for Kroger comes out. I work 8-5 Monday - Friday. Shopping on Sundays allows me time to think about what my family will eat that week and begin preparing meals. We usually eat a good meal on Sundays then on Monday we make something we can eat on a few days. We do the same on Wednesday. Friday and Saturdays are opportunities to eat out if we have plans or don't want to prepare a meal when the weekend begins.
-
I also say it's Wednesday, I saw it on a news report. but I like to shop on a Saturday, who wants to go shopping in the middle of the week.
-
Monday.... Not a lot of people are out shopping (due to work) and items usually are fresh (like cookies or bakery stuff from Sam Club)... Not sure if that's true since I only go to Shop Rite, Sam Club, and sometimes Walmart.. But nevertheless Monday is the day I would like to shop for groceries
-
I think Tuesday would be the best day to shop. I go on Mondays because that's when I get a senior citizen discount at my supermarket, but the shelves have not been fully restocked from the weekend.
-
Sunday has ton of deals that are 50 % off mostly, but its swarming with housewares :P so be prepared lol.
-
Sundays are when I get groceries. Most of the people in this area sleep in or go to early morning church service so there's not a lot of people at the store.
-
I don't have a certain day, as my husband only gets paid on the last day of the month. so basically I grocery shop for the whole month on whatever day that ends up landing on lol
-
I don't have a preference day. I do however prefer to go at it alone or with one of my older children. They are great extra hands to have on hand, have learned I say No so they've stopped asking can we get this? I also prefer shopping when it's cold rather hot summer days... no rain or snow - just cold so I don't have to bring coolers to pack our frozen and cold stuff from Aldi for the drive home.
-
Friday mornings. The morning before the weekend starts. Less crowds, less irritation and we are ready with food for the next week.
-
when you need them...or have the money. best time of day is when no one is there.

It depends on the week and what specials are going on... At our local supermarket, they "pre-publish" the week's sales on Tuesday, so if you go Tues. evening, you can actually get both the current week's specials as well as the next week's ones as well. However every once in a while, they will have a 3-day sale in addition to their weekly specials, and those 3-day sales usually start on Thurs. So it sometimes is better to go on Thurs. instead of Tues. Luckily one of my friends works at that store, so knows what the specials are going to be going on the next week (she proofs some of their ads for her department) and can let me know in advance which day will have the best specials.

Not sure...I like going late at night though...

I like to shop on Wednesday. We have a Kroger's, an IGA/Sunflower and a Walmart SuperCenter in our area. My hubby prefers to shop at Sunflower's, while I prefer variety. I like to buy my seasonings from Walmart as well as other items that are cheaper. I like to buy my ground beef in the wrapper instead of the regular plastic wrap, so I like to shop at Walmart or Kroger's. Sunflower's prices are costly and I like to buy some items from them as well.

I like going late at night when its not busy! :icon_rr:

Personal choice. Some people can deal with crowds and too many shopping carts and others cannot. I usually shop on Wednesday night after most people go home so I don't have to deal with a lot of chaos.

I would think that Monday would be the best day because a lot of people shop on the weekend so I wouldn't think there would be as many people in the store.
-
This depends. I sometimes wait for the store or circular to come out and shop that day. Otherwise I would go to Walmart probably on a Saturday when I have off and shop with coupons.
-
I always watch for the ads coming out and then go the first day of the ad so i am sure of getting the items. Wait too long and a lot of the items are gone. But my major grocery shopping is done on the days that we have to take dad to the doctors in a larger town and then i buy for a month or so (of course i always forget somethin ) It just saves us so much money and then i also go the meat market which is cheaper then walmart with better meat. So as always we are there all day. Then still have to drive 80 miles to come home. Thank goodness i have good coolers.
-
Sunday or Wednesday afternoon when the store shelves should be fully stock and the new coupons and ads come out.
-
I HATE to shop, for anything, groceries are no different. I make a monthly trip to Sam's and buy large amounts of food. Having a separate freezer is a nice thing to have for me! The items I absolutely must pick up between the Sam's runs I get late in the evenings, no lines then and getting in and out of the store is fast.
-
I try to shop during the week, early, like 7 am, I don't like it when it gets busy, so this works for me. I also think it depends on the store.
-
For me is any day except Sunday, but it has to be late at night or very early in the morning. I don't like waiting in a long line. ;D
-
The new circular for my store comes out every Friday so that's usually when I go.
-
Hard for us to go grocery shopping during the week. I usually go on Saturdays.
-
I don't ever do really big shopping trips, I do 2-3 trips during the week just to pick up what I need. It is just my daughter and I so I have discovered if I buy too much at one time things spoil.
-
My shopping day varies - depending on my needs. Some people say Thursdays are not the busiest.
-
For me there is no special day to go grocery shopping. If there is a great sale going on, I am there despite the day of the week.
-
We usually shop our groceries during friday. Fruits and meats are on sale because the expiration almost due but they are still good. Just make to cook them that day or freeze them.
-
In Wisconsin if you go shopping during a Badger of Packer football game the grocery store will be dead if you want ot avoid crowds.
-
Wednesday. New grocery ads start!
-
well the best days are Wednesday and Thursday. But I shop when I need to shop. Sometimes we run out of certain food items sooner then the regular shopping day so I many a time shop for a small list just for those items. I try to stock up on canned goods, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, coffee, non dairy creamer, conditments and anything that doesn't spoil and store them in our cellar. But things like Lactose free Milk, eggs, and meats I load up the freezer and date them so I know how long they will be good to eat.

anyday that I have the extra money!!!11 :bunny:
-
I shop for groceries a few times a week. Rarely do one big trip at a time. I had having loads of stuff to carry in the house.
-
I think the best day and time to shop for groceries would be Monday at about 9 am. Of course, I never do that because I sleep in or am on my way to an appointment. ???
-
I look for high quality products. Take my coupons with me. Go shopping any store for best bargains.
-
Sundays are the most convenient, for me, and allows me to prepare everything for the week to come. I usually research what I am going to make for dinner over the next week early on Sunday morning, go to Kroger's to spend one hundred dollars. and then off to Costco to spend one hundred dollars. I have read my fair share of financial tips and the Gurus say the best day to shop is Wednesday evening. Mid week is when the stores are generally getting rid of everything from the week before and reduce prices to move it more quickly. It is also a 'cusp' day in which coupons typically overlap
-
Sunday mornings are usually pretty good, unless there is a storm on the way. Not too many people shop during those hours, so the store isn't crowded. And the good deals for the week usually start on Sundays, at the ShopRite at least, so the stuff with good prices is still in stock.
