That is nasty!! That's how people get sick. Wash and sanitize people

It literally makes me SICK when people do not wash their hands. I don't care if you were even going in to change your clothes; reality is, you have touched the lever on the door and people have all kinds of disgusting germs!!! Come on People, WASH YOUR HANDS TO STOP THE SPREAD OF GERMS!!! :P

Typically i do not wash my hands when i leave the bathroom because i keep some charmin towletts in my purse along with some hand sanitizer.. Sometimes it's alot easier because to many people will be standing around and talking over the sinks.. That or their is no soap.. I don't really pay any attention when i get out i pull out my towlettes wipe my hands and go out the door.. Sometimes i sanitize after that because then i done touched the door where people don't wash their hands and i'll end up sanitizing or re wiping my hands.. It's a handy thing to have in your purse..Especially in crowded bathrooms.. I have got stopped before in a movie theatre by someone asking me why i didn't wash my hands.. LOL.. not that it was any of their buisness but i did tell them that i have my wipes in my purse.. Haha.. even showed them and asked them if they wanted one since they were so worried about me :/. Anywho! I can't speak for everyone who doesn't wash their hands just me (:

The ten top methods of spreading germs are a person's ten fingers. Hands should always be washed and/or sanitized after using the bathroom.

Well that is awful. Everyday I always reminding my kids before driving them of to school to wash their hands before they'll have their lunch. And I attach to their backpack on the zipper chain their hand sanitizer to use on their hands after their recess at school and also telling them coming home from school to wash their hands before they will touch any food to put in their mouth. Every single days a have to remind them..There is a kind of disease going
on these days it called hand mouth and foot disease they said it couple weeks ago. But i'm not really know how it looks like... :dontknow: :dontknow: :sad1: :sad1:

I am deeply afraid of other peoples' germs especially in public restrooms. Once I have washed my hands, I touch nothing in the restroom.
-
I agree, people do not wash their hands and most of the time it is men, that's why it is so important to teach your sons to wash their hands after using the restrooms. I am afraid to shake men hands, I rather give them a hug.
-
They are showing no respect for others in the home and are putting their own health at risk.
-
I agree. I always wash my hands after touching things especially if I'm going to touch food after. At this time of year it also helps prevent illness. Always a good policy!!
-
I also notice how few men wash their hands... Even if you're just doing #1, you should be washing your hands after using the bathroom. Whenever I leave a public restroom, I'm usually pulling the door open with just my pinky on the upper corner of the handle because I'm not sure if the last person to go out washed their hands. And then there was this one guy that was also paranoid with germs, so he pulled on the lever for the paper towels before washing his hands so that after he finished washing, he could just grab the paper towel... And I was thinking that that only works if everyone does the same. But more likely he's just gone and contaminated the handle for the next guy who, like most people, would pull the lever after washing their hands. :-X

Number one reason why I don't eat at restaurants anymore. You just don't know if the people making your food have washed their hands after they used the bathroom. Who knows sometimes, Ive seen them smoking outside the back then they return to make your food heck I am not eating at restaurants anymore. That is just me!
-
That's just simply gross to not do . All the germs getting on things afterwords ewwww yuck. Good way to get sick easier down the line
-
i always do !!!!! i taught my kids to do it also growing up. would not let them out of the bathroom till they washed hands when they were small. so it became a habit jfor them.
i have been in eating places and seen their employes leave the bathrooms with out washing and I do not return to that place to eat !! :(

Honestly, this is just basic hygiene. It must be another one of those things that they won't or don't teach in school anymore. I get a little upset when I see someone leaving the bathroom when they have not washed their hands :angry7:.
I also wonder why they have to have the signs in public places like restaurants to warn employees to wash their hands before they return to work. Eeeeewwww. :o But I have to remember that it's out of my control, or out of my hands, so to speak.

A lot of people like to claim, "But I only peed, what's the point?!"
The point of washing your hands after going number one isn't because pee makes them "dirty", but because it is a good opportunity to clean your hands in general from the day's activities. Let's face it, when else do people really take the time to wash their hands?
-
THat could make me throw-up.
-
That is so gross. Why would anyone not wash their hands?! Especially in public places like restaurants or shopping malls. I always use a paper towel to open the door after I wash my hands in a public place (I don't like using public restrooms so I avoid them as much as possible, even more so when they aren't very clean/nice looking). It's more of a challenge to open the door when there aren't paper towels, but I manage.
-
Forget not washing hands- what's even worse is not washing it properly.
I dont know how many times ive seen someone walk out of the stalls, just dip their hands in water for 2 seconds and walk out. 30 second rule people!
-
I've never actually seen this but I believe it. If a person isn't concerned about it, why would they worry about others? I've seen countless people be very protective of their computer (for instance) and then wave another's computer around like it's nothing. I had a friend once take a microphone and swing it around by the cord. If they can't see the value in the actual items they can see, why would they concern themselves with these possible items they may or may not be carrying.
It's really sad though cause it seems like most humans are only out for themselves. I'm not saying drop everything to help others, but just don't go around hurting people at least. I think washing your hands is a small thing we all can do to make the world a little better.
-
it should be a habit for people to wash their hands after using the bathroom. don't the people that don't feel icky?
-
I 100% know what you mean its just plan nasty once they come out and you see that they did not wash and they start touching stuff all over the place the DAM GERMS!!!!.
-
I guess I don't really pay attention. There are worse things in the world to worry about. It's different if a person works in food service. I work at Walmart and 99% of the time there is NO soap and NO paper towels and I really don't want to just run my hands under cold water and then dry them on my pants.
-
This is the reason I don't like shaking hands with people. I notice in bathrooms women run their hands under the water without using soap or don't even bother. I don't eat other people cooking and that includes some of my relatives. People just don't care about hygiene. I even take wipes with me when I go shopping-thousands of people touch touch those carts.
