Title: Our Recent Ebay Shopping Experience
Post by: elysee24 on December 31, 2013, 01:41:12 pm
I guess this is nothing new, but we learnt our lesson this time.
Before Christmas husband went on ebay to get a cell phone for present.
We were really exciting when it arrived, but we got really upset after we opened the box---
the item was already opened but stated "new" on net when we bought it.
Had to request a refund but seller refused and wouldn't admit it was "used" till ebay stepped in.
Luckily we got our refund back though we had to pay for shipping to have item ship back.
Now husband is afraid to buy things online because we don't know who to trust!! :(

I've had that happen before too. It is frustrating and does make you leery of ordering online. I try to check the sellers rating before ordering and hope there are a lot of good reviews.

I don't like buying items on eBay. I bought a computer from someone once that had a 30 day warranty. The motherboard went out on the 31st day. I was so disappointed!  :(

I've had some horrible experiences on ebay but i still find it has the cheapest prices (depending on what you're buying) so i still use it.

I've ordered things and they came with stuff missing such as the phone I just ordered was missing the sim card
and I've sold things on ebay (mainly gift card w/out tracking numbers) and the buyers will use the gift cards and then open   a claim saying that someone else used their accounts.

oh well- like always ebay's a guessing game.

Whoa! That sucks! I have never used eBay since I use Amazon but you can never trust people. Did the customer reviews warn you about the seller?
