Title: Cloth Pads (reusable pads) - This might be too personal
Post by: jiuchan on January 04, 2014, 06:40:40 pm
I just wanted to know your thoughts on reusable menstrual pads.
I mean there are reusable cloth diapers, so there's also reusable cloth pads.
My friend uses the cloth diapers and she saves tons of money because she doesn't need to keep buying the disposable ones. She just washes them.
Same goes for cloth pads.

I've read a lot of good reviews on them and I heard a lot of EWW and Why? comments on them too.

I just wanted to know. What are your thoughts on them?

For me, I'm willing to give it a try because I have sensitive skin. The disposable pads makes me itchy and it just get uncomfortable. Getting rashes from it isn't good either.

Right now, I'm gonna try the 7th generation ones since they are chlorine free. Maybe that's what causes the irritation, but if it doesn't, I'm giving the cloth pads a shot.

I mean why not right? You can just say no without even giving it a shot. It's like giving up without trying. Haha!

I can't wait to see your replies. xD

I never heard of reusable pads - I guess it can work but I wonder how absorbent are these kinds of pads?

It actually varies on the flow. They have different types. I'm actually debating if I should just make my own or buy. Maybe I should make so I don't have to worry about buying them. They can get pretty expensive. xD

Hi...

I've bought a few from Etsy but I'm not sure if reusable pads are for me. Maybe because I haven't found the right one(s)...but anyway, overall I like them. They are great for your health and environment.

Search Youtube for recommendations, and on how to clean them...There's a really good soap called "Buncha Farmers 100% All Natural Biodegradable Stain Remover" you can clean them with. I buy mine from Amazon.

Here's an Etsy link if your interesting in purchasing from them:
