Jesus said, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments." But He used these people's non-love (disobedience) to become famous (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matt%209%3A30-31/&version=KJV;NIV;NKJV;ESV;NASB), yeah?
Granted, the people WERE blabbering on something very cool that He did. They would've passed-on the news even if Jesus had said nothing (or would they have? ... "somethin` that'll bake your noodle later ..."), it's just that Jesus was very-attached to the force which made the miracles possible.
