Title: Where Do Fish Find Worms when the Worms Aren't Hooked?
Post by: mythociate on January 29, 2014, 09:27:41 am
I mean  :silly: are there regularly worms just floating around for the fish to chomp on whenever? How did man ever think of giving them 'worms just floating around' if there aren't any?

I never really thought about the fact that worms aren't just out there floating around.  I guess they mostly eat smaller fish.

When the fish are hungry they will try anything even lures, they do eat a lot of small inscets and fish. Worms seem to be a treat for them. With the old weather they are very sluggish, but when it warms us some they are really hungry and will eat just about anything.

We used to always use bread to catch fish when I was younger.  Fish will eat a lot of things.

I think the fish find the worms along the bottom and sometimes I think they do float around.   When they are on a hook, they don't move quite as much, so I think the fish are smarter than we are unless they are very, very hungry.

Lol. they are smarter. the old saying about calling it fishing and not catching... reason for that.

Bass eat snakes too, sort of worm like.

worms come out of the ground when it rains and probably wash into a body of water. that is my theory.
