I know lots of you are probably thinking, "He was ALWAYS 'Lord'!" or some such 'mythicism'---not paying attention to 'the etymology of "lord"' (the breeding of the actual word).
The best I can remember, the deepest root is something-like 'bread-keeper.' And you can see that when God tells Moses WHY He is giving bread to the escaping Hebrews (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Exodus%2016%3A4/&version=KJV;NIV;NLT;NASB;AMP)---to see if they will praise HIM as "Lord."

God becomes the Lord of your life when you turn your life over to Jesus Christ and He takes ownership of you.We no longer belong to ourselves, but He has bought us with a great price. He becomes Lord of our lives and we serve Him.

I'm not asking 'how he becomes lord to each of us on an individual level,' I'm telling why he's called "lord."

Then you should've asked, because your telling is wrong. :P

That's right. Words ARE wrong. "Be constantly in prayer; using word carefully & -only on the rare occasion that you must communicate verbally (or 'in writing')."
