Title: Can Manning Blame Jon Stewart (The Daily Show) for Loss of the Super Bowl?
Post by: mythociate on February 04, 2014, 11:15:23 am
Because Peyton Manning (quarterback of the Denver Broncos) gave The Daily Show with Jon Stewart an interview, in which Jon Stewart asked Manning 'how he handles putting himself in harm's way with five-to-seven giant pot-roasts rumbling in to try to destroy him.'

Manning DID reply 'I trust the seven-to-nine pot-roasts who are defending me as I put the ball into play,' but the 22-0 lead the Seahawks held over the Broncos at halftime could be seen as evidence that either Manning's pot-roasts were 'dropping the ball' or that Manning himself was second-guessing that trust.

Oh, the mind-gremlins unleashed by Jon Stewart!  ???

Sorta like Obama blame game. He is always right and everyone else is wrong. It is all someone else fault.

I am going out on a limb!  It is amazing to me that, whatever the subject, Obama is always brought up and vilified.  I have done a lot of research and have found that Obama is blamed for so many things he has had nothing to do with.  So many people just want to jump in and keep the pot stirring without knowing what they are talking about, especially on places like Facebook.  I never (until now) make any comments because I see what happens when other people do.  I will be immediately jumped on and called everything, including a Devil worshiper.  I am actually Christian, White, middle-class, educated, and a senior citizen, so I have time to research what I am talking about.  I wish everyone would do that and not fly off the every which way, passing on all the nonsense posted on the Internet.  (Let's see how long it takes for this thread to be filled with hate and vilification.)

I don't pinpoint the interview you mentioned any differently than any other occurances that might have happened along the way. I'm not really superstitious. Manning among other individuals had an off day handling the defense.

To me a game is a game and every body has a bad day I didn't watch and don't care but some of you all might.

Back on subject:  I'm not a football fan and seldom watch the SBs, but my husband is and does.  He keeps me updated on scores, etc.  It seems to me that, during every SB game, anything that can happen will happen.  I don't know if the team members get nervous or what, but I don't think the final score really proves how good the teams are.  Actually, both teams have to be good to be there in the first place.  I can remember weird things happening during SB games.  Don't remember the year or the team, but one year the kicker took the ball and ran all the way to the end zone - the wrong end zone!

Richard Sherman said that they knew the plays (because of Manning's hand signals).
