Can't believe he's retiring, though not too surprised considering all the injuries he's had recently. He will be missed, such a great athlete and person.

Well, he's 39 years old and will be 40 at the end of the next season. That's getting up there in baseball land. I agree he's an astounding athlete and has always been a great team captain. Always tones down any scandalous thing going on, very supportive of team mates, etc. A real gentleman.
