Title: what kind of perso or you

i am always the 1st one to try to help anyone but then i get enough bull from that person and i walk away i was raised to give people the benfit of doubt but even i can only take so much

I have been there too.  I don't mind helping anybody, but people will burn you.  I spent three years with a man and discovered he was using me after he was dead.  You are right; you can only take so much.   Here is my philosophy; people will pretend to be your best friend until you don't agree with them; then they will turn on you.  My mother tried to help her sister (my aunt) who was in an abusive relationship.  My aunt turned on her as soon as she got out of that relationship.  My cousin asked me to loan her $40 and has owed me for the past 4 and half years.  Another cousin owes me $10.  That's why I don't lend money.  People will expect you to do things for them but won't help you. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :rainbow:

People who behave badly aren't always bad people.  The important things is not to let bad behavior turn you into a pessimistic and suspicious person. If you do good and people take advantage of you, do good anyway.  Just be who you are and don't get derailed by a negative experience.

I am the type who will help do just about anything I am asked to do, specially in our congregation, but then those that had no part of what was done criticizes and I don't like that. If they are not going to come help with an event or something then they have no right to complain about the way it was done.

I am a person that will help you if you really need help but if I find out you are conning me I will drop your friendship like it didn't exist. I tell the truth and I expect it from everyone I communicate with in my daily life. I taught my children the same way and have always expected the truth from them and they have always been honest with me and everyone else no matter what the situation is. HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY is the only way.
