How do you keep a balanced diet? (Eating, exercising, etc.)
-
I mostly focus on healthy snacks and meals as well as moderate walking to maintain my weight.

Maintain a well-balanced diet? I'm just trying to figure out one. It's a little hard when you don't like much and what you do like you can't eat: GERDS, I'm not sure if it's a lactose intolerance because I can't have yogurt or almond milk (which was worse) either, fish, and I even tried glucose free cookies (ended up being allergic to the one ingredient I haven't heard of). But it sure does explain why I don't eat much and am a picky eater.
Like eating, exercising is pretty much almost a no go. However, I do love taking the dog out for walks.

you have to be really dedicated, if you like to cheat and peak then you'll probably fail

I absolutely love healthy foods- problem is I also love unhealthy foods. I'm an eater for sure. Fortunately, in 2012 I developed a love for working out. I get up at 5 something every morning and start the laundry, take out meat for dinner, work out for an hour or two, and then get online work done. Being on my treadmill is actually considered my me time because that's my time to think things through. I need to reroute my mind to deter from unhealthy foods the way I did to love working out.

Eat healthy and move that body!

I don't, I really need to start for my own health and my family.

I do my best to follow DASH and gluten free. Dash is all about consuming 140 calories each day of the following:
140 cal. fruit, 140 cal. veggies, 140 cal. dairy, 140 cal. grain, 140 cal. fat (salmon oil), 5 oz. protein (350 Cal.). Then I consume 8 glasses of water each day.
I also do a lot of walking. I sold my car several years ago and I live in a small town so my legs are my transportation.

Hmmm... I've never heard of dash before. Will have to look that up; it sounds like something I could manage. At least halfway. lol :) For now I'm dipping my toes back into fruit, vegan yogurt, and trying to drink less of the junky stuff I love. Still have a cookie addiction, though! I'd love to be exercising but poor health this year has kept me from it.

while I sure would like to say that I do Maintain a well-balanced diet! the plan and simple truth is that I dont, I really do wish that I did

I don't maintain a well balanced diet since i wanted lemon mirange pie for breakfast didn't but almost. The foods that taste the best are the worst for you. gonna leave now and get that pie.
-
Avoid junk food. Read the nutrition labels when you go grocery shopping.

I thought I was the only one that ate desserts for breakfast. I know it's really bad. I eat fried foods early in the morning too. I enjoy healthy foods and working out but I absolutely love the junk I know I'm not supposed to have. I hope to get better this year.

To maintain a well-balanced diet I eat small amount of food before 4 p.m. If I feel hungry I drink hot tea without sugar.
-
Out with the junk! You start by filling your cabinets with healthy food, now this could be a gradual process. Variety is good so you don't get bored of eating the same thing all the time and just give up

During the last week of April I started a morning ritual of having 2 cups of green tea.
