Yes because the A/C and I don't get along. I usually get takeout in the summer.

Depends on how cold it was.  I did walk out of an Italian restaurant last summer.  The AC was broke and it was like an oven in the place.

I have never walked out of a restaurant because of the temperature, either it being warm or cold. I don't go out to eat that often, so if I go somewhere, it is because I wanted that food in particular.

Yes, I would walk out if it is completely freezing in the restaurant! Why give the restaurant your
hard earned money if your suffering from how cold or hot it is inside the place ???

I am easily gets cold because of my skinny body. Even if I eat cold cereal it takes forever to warm up my body. This is why I always carry a jacket in my bag even the temperature outside is over a 100 F.

well that would depend on the place, i know small places will keep it cool because of the kitchen, but if a larger place is cold, yes i will hit the door.

I would be more likely to ask the waitress to reseat me if I were near a door and getting a breeze or something like that. If the whole room seemed to be cold, I would ask the waitress to turn the heat up. If it was still too cold, I would put on a jacket or sweater. I doubt I would actually leave if it was cold, particularly if I had already placed my order.

No, normally in the summer time I keep a sweatshirt in the car for cold places.

I've eaten in cold restaurants before and never considered leaving.  I guess it's just something I've become accustomed to.  Poor circulation leaves me chilled when everyone is comfortable or hot for that matter.  I too am one that has gotten in the habit of carrying a sweater or hoodie along with me.

I keep a light weight jacket in my car for just such happenings during the summer. I have always done so because I absolutely hate being cold and eating establishments have difficulty regulating the their temperature because the number of patrons varies greatly and that just can't be adjusted for quickly.

depends on the restaurant lol, I'm always cold at times in the summer I will turn on my electric heater with the AC on for the others. But for the most part I would stay at the restaurant

Most likely, I would stay for the meal; even more likely, I would have coffee instead of a soda with my meal and I would definitely mention it to the waitress/waiter serving.  Most likely of all, I would not be returning to that restaurant.

No, I would not walk out. It is always freezing at our local movie theater and I never walk out of there. I consider being in a restaurant basically the same thing.

I've actually done it a few times.  One time with my husband, who doesn't get cold very easily, we both were very cold and had to leave.  This was after we were seated and ordered our water.  I felt bad but I felt even colder.

I am not sure whether I would leave or not. I am often cold and dress accordingly, If I got really cold I might just pick up and leave. I go out to have fun with friends and family. Being freezing cold is not fun to me :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

Yes.  And I would let management know why I was leaving.  There is no sense in having a restaurant air set at 60 to 65.  And I could care less about the cooks in the back.  That is usually the excuse.  If it is so cold you have to wear a winter coat and be uncomfortable people are not going to hang around.  Or they will take it out on the wait staff when it comes time to tip because they are unhappy.

We ate at O'Charley's not too long ago and it was so cold in that restaurant that I had to go outside and sit in my car to get warm.  I went back in when my food was ready and had them pack it up for me to take home to eat.  I did submit a complaint to their corporate website on how cold it was in there.  If they were having heating problems, they should have said something.  It sure felt like the A/C was on.

Probably not; I would choose the hot soup instead of the salad with my dinner and order hot coffee; however, if the restaurant was too hot I might leave before ordering.

I always carry a jacket in the car just in case as I can get cold easy.  I go in a restaurant and get my seat and if it's too cold I excuse myself go to my car and get the jacket.  I'm probably the only person in Florida that wears a jacket in a restaurant in July or even August sometimes.

The only time I ever walked out of a restaurant was when my son was about 18 months old. We had arrived at a new chinese restaurant and painstakingly tried to find foods that my son might be interested in. My son then started throwing little bits of food across the restaurant and we were horrified. My husband took my son and left the restaurant immediately to wait in the car for me, who was heavily pregnant with our second child. Good hot food at a sitdown restaurant didn't come around very often and I had to finish my plate before I could consider leaving the restaurant. I felt bad for making my husband wait while I finished my plate but I was so exhausted looking after our son I'm afraid it was each man for himself!    :notworthy:

I carry a sweater along so I can be comfortable.  Sometimes, though, the restaurant has been chillier than the sweater.....I guess I just suffered/shivered.

Yes, I can't stand cold restaurants!  They make them so cold sometimes!  And grocery stores too.

I've walked out of a restaurant for other reasons (inattentive service, etc.) and have transitioned to a different place to sit per recommendation of my company, but I have not left outright due to the cold of the restaurant. I guess I could one day if extreme, but I think I'm more tolerant than many (or I'll just stick to a jacket) and will more likely if the rest of my company is complaining.

I absolutely hate going to a cold restaurant, I would walk out because I would not want to pay to be uncomfortable while I am eating. I actually avoid a place in my hometown because it is always too cold.

No because I have a problem with being too cold at most restaurants and at the grocery store so I bring a light jacket and if I'm too cool I put it on and if I'm not or I get too warm I take it off and put it in a tote bag I always carry with me.   :snowman:

Right now with temp. hitting 104, Ac's working hard. I would love to go to a nice cold restaurant . Yeah I would get cold after a bit, but dang it would sure feel good. I will be glad when we get a new roof put on our house and a porch built that will cut some of the heat from the west.
