Carnival season is upon us! Well, at least in New Jersey! There are several carnivals coming up in the next few weeks and months, and I plan on attending lots of them! I don't know what it is about them, maybe it's because me and my husband used to go them often when we were dating, but I just love carnivals. I enjoy the food and games. So what about you? Do you have lots of carnivals where you live? And do you enjoy them as much as I do?

Carnivals were more exciting when I was younger, but after a while they do seem the same old thing. The carnivals (if they do show up) in my area tend to particularly have less spirit in them as it seems they do the bare minimal and use the same old concepts.
-
They're fun, but they're usually so expensive. 10 tokens for 1 ride that only lasts 30 seconds. 1 token is $0.25. They aren't worth it. :(
-
Have not been to a carnival in a long time. they do not have to many around here any more.
-
Not any more: don't have the time and too expensive.
-
I do like carnivals, but I really don't get on the rides so for me it's a waste of money.
-
Haven't been to one in years. We took our kids when they were younger, but they really got expensive.
-
I've been to only one carnival in my life, many years ago. It was around Easter. I know I must have been VERY young because I remember there were rabbits in cages along with eggs and I thought the rabbits laid them. LOL...My state doesn't host that many great carnivals. So hopefully the next place I move to will have better carnivals where I can get delicious FOOD.
-
last carnival I went to was when I was in grade school, the kind that all the parents put on for the kids, I wont say how long ago that was tho LOL!
-
I haven't been to one in years. They can be fun, but they are so expensive!!

Carnivals are fun though but expensive for me and 4 kids for every rides they want to rides.

I love carnivals and attend them every year. It is so exciting that we wouldn't miss them. That is how we celebrate our wedding anniversary.
-
I used to love going to carnivals, fairs, and festival to go on all the rides. But since being pregnant with my first child and even after having her, the thought of going on some of those rides makes me sick to my stomach. Maybe things will change after I have my second child lol. But I do still love to go and play some of the midway games and win prizes.

haven't bee to a carnival in years. we go to our county fair every year. i don't know why its the same thing every year lol and its dirty and grimy i really don't like it :(
-
I'm not a carnival lover at all. They are usually crowded and I think most of the games are rigged. The rides never look that safe either. We avoid them.
-
the last carnival I went to in my town earlier this year, wasn't the best, the kiddos liked it, I just wanted to go for the funnel cakes, but the way some of the young ladies were dressed I was just shocked my mother wouldn't dare let me walk out the house the way they were.
-
I haven't been to a carnival in years. That is because, when it is hot, I see no reason to leave the solace of my nice cool home. I am under the air conditioner and it keeps me cool.   :rainbow: :rose:

I do not like carnivals most of the punk kids hang out there.
-
I rarely do carnivals. A lot of the people that run them look like they are battling an addiction or on the run from the law :o ...
Where I live we have lots of fairs which are sponsored by the cites/counties where they're held - ie. LA County Fair, Orange County Fair, etc... I get my "fix" at these types of events rather than at a traveling carnival.

Love them. Summer is always a great time for festivals. I plan to attend as many as I can. Enjoy life and all it has to offer. It is way too short. Take time to smell the roses.

I love carnivals !
When I was younger I used to go very often, but now as we get older :confused1: my husband gets tired of walking and then all that traffic and worst of all to find a safe parking space ! ::)
With a new truck that is a no no for us at the moment. :(

We go to the church carnival every year. It is kind of expensive and a little seedy but we have a good time, The kids like the ride and I like the food.
-
I love carnivals, haven't been to one in years now. But recently I noticed one close by I've been anticipation a visit.
-
Sometime only. But now when I get older, I think it not fun to go anymore. But still go sometime for food. They have difference kind of food there for you to try.
-
When I was younger I loved them I'd get so excited when I'd pass by a carnival. I would get so happy.
-
When I was younger I worked on a carnival I thought it was a lot of fun for work but it's still a fun I enjoyed it a lot. So I think Carl was more fun all low they are very expensive now days there still a lot of fun. If not there so I'm going to take my mother and dad to New Orleans is not new orients to Orlando Florida. My sister is going to she wants to go to Harry Potter land. I hope my folks it will enjoy it as much as by sister will.
-
I used to go to carnivals when I was stationed in Germany. I had a lot of fun, especially during Octoberfest.
-
I loved them as a kid but no so much now. I find them dirty and a rip off now (especially the games).
-
I think I like the actual concept of carnivals more than I like the carnivals themselves if that makes sense. I do love funnel cakes and cotton candy and other terrible foods.
-
I get excited when I see the carnival setup at the corner of a lot lol
-
No, I don't like carnivals. Thank You!
-
Do you know when I was younger, I used to love carnivals and couldn't wait to get on the scariest, most vomit inducing swingie thing. However in recent years, I have become tame. No longer can I tolerate the big pirate ship or the waltzer, I feel sick just looking at them. They make me dizzy for the rest of the day and I feel like I must look 46 going on 66! I Don't know if it's that I can't focus as well or that I can't digest my food as quickly. Either way, for me, I now have to stick to the sunbed for my thrill ride!
-
I have never really enjoyed carnivals i think they are expensive and kind of gross. The carnival games are always so hard to win at as well. So no i dont like them.
-
I do we have one when the fair comes to town its pretty fun, but I am really there just for the food lol
-
Fun to walk around and see all the lights and smell the smells. :in-love: Brings back memories of childhood when the carnival was a HUGE deal.
Fun to ride the rides if you've got the cash to manage it. Seems kind of expensive to me now. :o
-
When I was younger I loved them, but as I get older I am a littler caution about some of the rides. Still I like carnivals.
-
i love carnivals i cant wait for them to get here so i can take my son..
-
I do like them when I was young but now it's like the same old food and the games and rides. But it is something exciting for the kids. I do not like to take that fun away from them because I know I felt the same excitement when I was their age. So the rides are fun and some of the the food.
-
I loved them as a kid but I won't go now. It's not the same and I don't want to spoil that memory.
-
I absolutely love carnivals! I mostly go for the food and entertainment, I do not ride the rides most of the time. They can be pretty pricey and I am a bit of a chicken to be honest. I do like some of the rides though, mostly the ones that do not go high in the air!
-
I used to love carnivals when I was a kid and when my kids were little but I don't care about them anymore.
-
I like to go and see the ride and smell the smells and look at the animals. But as I have gotten older I just have on interest in ride that stuff anymore, but it is fun to watch the kids now.
-
I like carnivals but I think I like fairs more. More rides more food more fun. Now I need a funnel cake. Lol
-
I like carnivals, but it has been a couple of years since I went to one. They are expensive and not worth the money.
-
I love carnivals but there just more expensive then ever but you can't blame them for being that way since they have to pay more for stuff to travel from place to place to gas alone must be a royal pain
-
Yes sure I like Carnivals!! they are great, I go to a few of them every summer...my favorite part is to walk around and see all the wonderful foods for sale
-
I love carnivals. I work for one and I get to ride the rides for free. Not ownly that it is because my farther worked for one when he was a live, so I was born and raised as a carny
-
I love the sounds, the smells but not the rides so much anymore. I let my kids do those now. lol I love to go!
-
yes I do like them,,,like seeing new things!!!!!!
-
I have not been to a carnival or a fair in two or three years. But, I will be taking two of my nephews to one this year.
-
I like carnivals and take my gr daughter when its in town. She enjoys the rides and exhibits they usually have.
