That choice is being offered. Times has changed. I am not young enough, rats. I think spending your life on space ships could be happy and exciting. Tell your kids to study rocket machine science and math and math and math.
-
I would stay on earth, after watching that movie.
-
I'm happy here on our beautiful planet. :rainbow:
-
Id rather live on earth......but if you said i had to stay at my mother-in-laws id choose outer space!!
Of course im kidding....but tried to get a chuckle!!
-
I'd stay on earth.
-
I'd stay on God's green earth.
-
I would like to stay on earth because I'm use to it, besides I saw the movie Gravity and that movie scared the heck out of me. I would had died if I was Sandra Bullock's character even before the asteroids hit them. Being weightlessness is not my idea to be not to...(well, I really don't know and I can't even imagine so I wouldn't even try to do that).
-
Stay on this earth because outer space is still too risky to travel in yet while earth has hundreds of exciting places to travel too.
-
I would love to live in outer space.
-
space is not a frontier I would like to explore
Earth has so many places I would like to explore.I love the grand canyon and would really like to see the other national parks :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
-
I'd like to stay on Earth. But my answer may change if the planet starts to become really inhospitable. Then I'd jump on a space ship first chance I got.
-
I'd stay on Earth.
I get motion sick & don't like confined spaces. :monkey:

I will stay on earth because it's my birth home.

Obviously I would stay on Earth. The people who go to Mars are all going to die. It is completely foolish. There is nothing there. I do not think these people realize when they leave Earth they are going to a place where there is nothing. It is not like Survivor where they have an entire crew behind the scenes. They have NOTHING. No food. No medical. Nothing to build anything with. Just nothing. So to the ones who go....Good Riddens! Let's send some of the criminals with you.
-
I'm staying right here on earth. No thank you to outer space.
-
Ahahahah it looks to me like nobody here would want to live in outer space, and well I'm gonna have to go with the popular opinion too! xD
I think going to outspace would be a nice as a kind of vacation idea, but to live thereeee uh-uh I think it'd get old too fast after being so use to earth and the variety of locations.
But I have heard that sometime in the future they're going to be able to make the moon habitable by people, and I've seen people excited to sign up for that xD (If my memory serves me correctly I think you'll actually get paid TO live on the moon)
I have a suggeston of a few people I would like to send to the moon. lol :D
-
I would only go if the world was about to end. I like this beautiful earth too much. But if they discovered a new planet to live on... maybe. That would be quite an adventure.
-
No not something I would want im happy here on earth!!!
-
i rather stay on earth but i would want to explore space. Also to countrygirl12 mars can be teraformed into another earth because of the conditions on that planet but it'll take a very very very long time not only that but the conditions that the human race would have to adapt as well while living on mars. :cat:
-
I will remain earthbound in preference to living in outer space. I don't see why I would make that choice. ??? ??? ??? :rainbow: :rose:
-
I would definitely stay on Earth versus traveling in space. That seems very difficult to adapt to. But if we ever found a planet that could be inhabited, I might consider traveling through space to get there. I think that would be exciting.

Give me good old earth. I love the smells and wildlife too much. Could not stand the cold harshness of space. Space sickness!

Im fine with my feet on the ground :) stay on earth
-
I like to think of myself as adventurous but I think before I left earth, the reasons would have to be really compelling. Like, there will no longer be a liveable earth, or I would only be able to live underground. Then, I would be able to consider it.
-
I think the only time I would live in outer space is when my spirit leaves my body when I am dead. LOl other than that I think I don't have the necessary equipment nor the means to survive in outer space because of what I have be given to live on this earth. But a well thought of question to stir up the thinking mind thanks!
-
I don't think I would like to live on a space ship or live on another planet. I am happy right here on earth.
-
I would love to travel to outer space...but not sure about living there...lol
-
I would stay on Earth, but Ethan Hawking says that in or for the human race to continue we must move off Earth in thousand years. I will be dead and gone by then, so I guess I have nothing to worry about. lol

One came close to hitting Russia last year

NO WAY!!!!! I'm quite content to stay here on earth. I wouldn't even go there for vacation if they paid me. I'm sure I'd never get back.
-
No thanks. I'm afraid of heights.
-
Although it sounds interesting to live in space, I think I would just stay on earth.
-
nope i would stay here..i am only 5 foot and i dont go over that..lol...deathly afraid of heights..and there would be no amount of money for me to leave the earth for outer space..i will leave that to others..

Since I first read about the suicide mission to Mars, I've been stressing out about the poor people who are going there with no hope of returning. What kind of person is THAT adventurous? Hopefully there will be resupply ships for their necessities, but it's unbelievable to me that anyone would sign up for this certain hardship.

Of course im kidding....but tried to get a chuckle!!
Oh I'd have to agree with you 100%. And I am NOT kidding. Actually, I would stay right here on this gorgeous planet and send the mother-in-law and everyone else like her to space.
-
Betly......LOL!!!
Spoken like a TRUE in-law!!!

But I was saying the Mars adventure they are planning you are not going to be able to take all the stuff to make it like Earth now. It may be possible to colonize Mars but it would take a really really long time and when you start out you start with nothing. I cannot imagine how to make Mars like Earth.
-
No thanks. I'm afraid of heights.
I swear I thought the exact same thing. lol

It is going to take 3 years just to get there. I see them running out of fuel and dying in transit. There is really no way to communicate. How can we send resupply stuff when we don't know what they need and it takes so long to get it there. Besides that if you sign up for the suicide mission it is just that. I cannot believe any one would willingly do it.

After hearing the effects to the human body after long term time spent in space I'm staying here for the time being. If Earth's gravity and other luxuries can be duplicated, space travel doesn't seem that attractive. Of course, I am very curious about other worlds too.
-
I'm not that much of an Extraterrestrial, I've no problem jumping from a plane but space life is just not for me.
-
I'd live in space to see what it was like. Would definitely be something different than I'm used to I's be up for the adventure.
-
I'm definitely not an adventurer I guess because I have no desire to leave the planet Earth. I see nothing in space that would make me want to go there.
-
I don't know if I would it be hard to get use to it after 70+ year hear on earth.
-
On Earth. At least you know what to expect here.
-
Earth and only earth.
-
It might be fun to live on another planet, but I doubt it'll happen in our lifetime.
-
I think I'll stay on earth.
-
My husband and I had this conversation the other day. I definitely feel I would like to live out my days on planet earth, partly for my children who I can't bear not to watch grow up day by day, and partly because I love the scenic beauty of God's great earth - I don't think I could cope with the isolation of outer space. My husband, on the other hand, would consider giving up everything (not the kids, although me probably!) and travelling into outer space knowing that he may never return. I like the same old same old! It's not for me but good luck to anyone who feels it's for them.
-
This is a no brainier, I would most deffinatley choose to stay on earth, living in outer space just sounds to expensive and weird to me.
-
I think it would be pretty exciting to visit outer space but I wouldn't want to live there.
-
Betly......LOL!!!
Spoken like a TRUE in-law!!!
I'd have to agree with you hitch. Do you know the difference between in-laws and out-laws??? Out-laws are WANTED. HHHAAAAAAA.
-
I choose outer space. I would love a change of scenery and to live amongst the stars
-
I would much rather live here on Earth than up in space. The reason being that, even with all of our years of trying to understand space and universe there is still so much unknown that is seems like a pretty scary idea to me to stay up there long term. I do also like the idea of having gravity. I know I was reading how people will be able to go up in a balloon like thing and go to the edge of the atmosphere so they can see space. I thought that idea was kind of cool but I would never do it because far too scared of heights so the idea alone would give me a panic haha.
-
I would prefer to stay on planet Earth. Planet Earth is our home.
-
i'm staying right here..i will be zooming in outer space soon enough..none of us live forever  :angel11:
-
I would love to do it for a while but not for the rest of my days
-
For the time being I would stick on earth. Maybe I would change my mind someday when there are actually people living in space.
-
I would rather stay here on Earth. I don't even wish to visit space.
-
Hey Betly...did you know tho there are ransoms on In-Laws?
When i heard my mother-in-law was coming over for dinner......I RAN SOME!!!
-
I would want to spend all my time on earth not in outer space
-
Earth. I don't really trust people so I'd rather be on Earth and not in some ship that someone could just punch a window out of and kill me. Probably too many sci-fi movies getting the better of me, but space never really seems to be a safe place.

HAAAA, that's really a good one. I will have to remember that. When my in-law, who thankfully lives a few states away, was visiting another family member who lives about an hour and a half away, the in-law suggested that they come to our home to surprise us. What a surprise it would be when no one would be home. Needless to say, that trip never happened, nor will it.
-
Most def earth!
-
I would probably head to outer space.
-
Want to keep my feet planted on Planet Earth.
-
Im gonna need a little bit of both, one house in L.A., one in new york, one in seoul and one on the moon and one on mars
-
Definitely stay on earth, to stark out there.
-
stay on earth, this is the place I feel safe ;D
