I am deeply perplexed. After decades of making ice in the ice cube trays, my husband bought a bag of ice because he was tired of filling the ice cube trays. My brother also buys ice. Do you buy or make your own?

We have an ice maker so I don't have to refill the trays. We only buy ice if we are having a party

Neither my freezer does all the work..
I have an icemaker and i wouldn't ever go back to trays or bagged ice unless party or some other occasion where my ice maker would be overworking itself :p

I make my own ice cubes.I don't use enough ice to buy a bag.The last time I bought a bag of ice was 2 years ago when we had an electrical outage.

Our current refrigerator/freezer has an icemaker but before that we just filled up the trays. It takes seconds to fill it up and so much cheaper than buying bagged ice

even if I put a little water in paper cups. I made my own ice. Im not sure what all is in ice you buy. I think more sodium.

We have an ice maker too. I still have trays in my freezer. My son uses them to put in his little lunch box. He fills that lunch box with drinks and no food for work. He says that he doesn't get hungry at work. I guess he gets that from me because I am the same way. :monkey:

I have an ice maker but our water sucks so I don't use it much. I wish I had crushed ice I love to chomp it!
