Or does it feel to anyone else, that summer is on the downhill slide after the forth of July?
It always just seems to me that the next thing you know that it is fall.
-
Yes, it seems like summer is downhill after the 4th of July even though summer technically just began the end of June!
-
And for my 12 year old that symbolizes one month before going back to school almost literally. First day back is on the 7th this year.
-
Not for me, with days approaching 100 degrees it's summer in all it's glory.
-
I live in Fresno and it stays summer (100 degrees) sometimes until early October.
-
It does seam like summer is going by fast this year.
-
I hope not, I want to do a lot of stuff this summer and have not started yet LOL. LEts hope we get to have a lot of hot weather left
-
I can't believe some of you are getting 100 degree weather, that would melt me! The temp here pretty much peaks at 80.
-
Everyday, it seems as though the days are flying by faster and faster. It's July and for the most part where I live it's been raining a lot. The Summers are shorter.
-
Summer's barely begun here in Arizona and the temps are well above 100 degrees. I'm looking forward to the Monsoons, that is, IF they hit our neighborhood at all. My brother says we live "Under the Dome" in this neighborhood. LOL, I tend to agree with him. It seems the rain surrounds us but never hits us!
-
Hotter than Hades here most days so seems like summer to me! I'm spending most of my time in the house since the humidity is SO high. I don't mind sweating if I'm working outside but to break out in a sweat just walking around is not very pleasant to me.
-
Here In Missouri, It Stays Hot Until Late November. I Remember The First Year I Was Here, It Was 65 On New Years Day :)
-
To me.it seems summer.starts early ends.late.and as each new summer hits its hotter than the one before. Most days.where.im live hits as high as 115. Im looking forward to.winter. the cuddle months are my fave.
-
Summer is really flying by. I live in PA and some stores have back to school supplies out, winter clothing, and snow blowers for sale!
-
Do not forget summer is the best part of the year because good weather is usually in your favor. Enjoy your summer!
-
I think it's because after the 4th they immediately start all the back to school shopping! It's like, what?! Didn't school just get out? But you're already thinking of back to school and it seem to just make the summer fly and turn into fall.
-
That is true, and many places whe.are doing back to school sales use after the 4th celebration to have the sales...not only do I got school shoping for 3 but a bday that starts right after school starts.
-
I never thought of that before. I dread the end of summer usually around September.
-
id have to say summer is my least fav. season specially living in phoenix......bring on fall/winter! PLEASE!! lol
-
This is my favorite season so I'm trying to enjoy every last minute of it. Summer seems so short compared to winter which seems like it just drags on.
-
Summer just seems to go by way to fast for me anymore. All though football season is around the corner.
-
My husband was just saying that he couldn't believe how fast the summer was going. We have so many things we want to do and time is just flying by.
-
I enjoy each day and do not worry about the weather so much. We can not control it so why waste both your time and engery.
-
This summer just seems to be going by so quickly. But yea usually after the 4th of July it seems to go even faster. I'm just looking forward to September which is my birthday lol.
-
We are in summer mode here in Tn. Although we are due for some fall type weather for about a week which will be a nice change for a few days.
-
I agree I think we get rushed by marketing and what we see in stores, 4th of July week and all summer stuff is being put in the clearance area and shelves being filled with school supplies, the Halloween candy will be rolling out before long! It just drives me nuts, got to the store and try to find something that falls into the "seasonal" category in the middle of the season!
-
Not really. I guess it seems more like it is winding down when school starts back but around my part it starts back Aug 1 and there is still a ton of summer left.
-
I am just waiting for the warm weather to show up, been a lack of that so far here
-
Always seems like fall to me because something is always shedding leaves to be mulched or rakes up in my yard...hot or cool rainy or sunny
-
I have always felt that the 4th of July signaled the start of the end! When we lived up north, my husband would start feeling depressed as of the 4th because it was down hill from then on :notworthy:
-
I live in Florida and it's still really hot here, but with the time flying by so fast, I feel like fall will be here in no time. Winter, for that matter.
-
No, I think once it hits August the days seem to go so much faster!
-
summer just started, but I feel that if I look back a little bit it will be over. :(
-
Not for me, with days approaching 100 degrees it's summer in all it's glory.
I agree with old buddy on this one
-
For middle of July, 53 feels really cool but I'm not complaining. The past winter was horrible and I do not even want to think about the next one. Enjoying this while I can!
-
Yes, it does. And after my birthday which is the 7th. After the 4th and my birthday the rest of the year seems to really fly by.
-
No, lol, especially weather wise...I really don't get to experience summer much until August when work and stuff slows down a bit anyway
-
Summer is usually my least favorite part of the year because of the heat. It has been a little change, but this summer is really pleasant. Enjoy your summer because, after fall, it will soon be winter.   :rainbow: :rose:
-
I can understand that! It's like when you go on vacation during the summer and that's what you look forward too and once you get home, there's nothing to do except get stressed about fall.
-
It does seem that way. It's been in the mid 90s here. I can't imagine living where it gets above 100. I stop going outside unless I have to once it starts hitting 85.
-
I am new does anyone have advice?
-
No, I don't want to rush it. I enjoy the season. Well, I guess for one reason or other, I really enjoy all seasons, but I like to enjoy the summer weather while it is here.
-
when i was in school it sure felt that way but now that im a stay at home mom with no school age children i dont notice it.
-
Seems like summers just started again with the temperatures in the 90s to 100s.
-
I am enjoying summer while it is still here! Like the longer days!
-
No, its not just you. I have noticed that for many years. After the 4th ends the summer is on the way down.
-
Summer is flying by like the whole year has. They are already talking about Christmas in July lol
