I would have to say The Dream by Irene Cara on the DC Cab soundtrack. I love Irene's voice and the lyrics are on point and relatable to anyone going through a rough patch or battling self doubt. If you were to just take the words and read them aloud with no musical accompaniment, you will find yourself reciting some of the most beautiful poetry imaginable. I dare you to take the challenge of googling the lyrics and going on Youtube to find the song. If you aren't feeling better about your chances in life then you must be dead inside.

Just about any oldie. Sugar Sugar by the Archie's good funny memories with that song.

There are so many! I like the oldies, too, but my "lifting your mood" song keeps changing. I guess I am lifted more by the tune than the lyrics. Half the time, I can't even understand what they are saying, but I love harmonies and special instrumental licks and certain arrangements. If it's the right song, it can truly give me a feeling of pleasure and lift me right out of the doldrums. I'm partial to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons!

Good Feeling by Flo-rida has been doing it for me lately but I have a lot of them. I usually try to listen to one as I am heading into work to set me up for a good day.
