Title: Do you have a favorite kind of apple?

I really like the Gala , I think . They are small red apples with more of a crunch than the Delicious. I also like Granny Smith apples too. Golden delicious are also one of my favs. It really depends what on what I am hungry for.

I like them because they aren't to hard so they don't hurt my gums or the roof of my mouth. I also like that they are firm enough to add to home-made apple pies and other apple dishes. I've never used them solo though.

Post by: pmagalei on July 19, 2014, 10:50:17 pm: My favorites are the Fuji apples. There is only one place that I buy them from and that is Costco. Any other apples from others stores are a little bit different to my taste buds. Although maybe I am used to the ones at Costco.

Post by: kapeh12 on July 26, 2014, 08:37:02 pm: My favorite apple was a hybrid called Jonamac - it was a cross between a Jonathan and a Macintosh. Was the perfect apple. Crisp and sweet enough for eating, yet, was an excellent baking apple as well. Most versatile apple I ever encountered.

I haven't been able to find that particular variety for quite some time - really miss it.

I don't like the goofy shaped red "delicious" apples though and there's this yellow apple that has flesh I find similar to the dryish tasting red ones that I don't like. But I'll still pretty much eat any kind of apple, unless it's rotten.
