Frequently when I am on the computer I will doze off and wake up 2 to 3 hours later and then finish whenever I was doing. If I am watching TV I better record it because if I don't I will fall asleep and miss the ending. But if I lay in bed I will lay there for even an hour before I even feel like dozing off. Do you ever fall asleep in a chair sitting up?
-
Normally, no. Then again, I am usually sitting on my couch or bed whenever I am on my laptop. I will say this though: whenever I watch a program that interests me, I try to make sure that I am sitting up for it (whether in bed or on a couch) because if I lie down, I am guaranteed to fall asleep during the program. I hate that. >:(

My husband will come in in the afternoon and sit at the computer for a while and I'll look over to find him sleeping sitting up at the computer so you're not alone.
-
I have fallen asleep on the loveseat when watching tv. I usually end up scrunching down and finally just laying down.
I have never fallen asleep while at the computer. I think my neck would get extremely sore if i fell asleep sitting up straight.
-
Well if falling asleep in the car counts then yes. And I woke up with my neck cramping. But if I am sitting at home and my head starts to bob I will usually jerk it back up.
-
Never fall asleep at the computer, its a different story if I sit in the blue chair, all I have to do sit down and out like a light for about 30 minutes.
-
When I am on my computer, I do sometimes doze off but I sleep for maybe 5 minutes or less.
-
I have, but extremely rare!
-
No, I cant fall asleep that way. My husband and my dad both can though. Looks painful!
-
I think I have only dozed off once or twice at the computer and as soon as my head drops it wakes me up but I fall asleep sitting on the couch nearly every night. Sometimes that means my dogs get a late dinner.
-
I have never fallen asleep in the day time. I sleep 8 hrs every night.
-
No I have never fallen asleep at the computer. However if I sit down in the sofa, there is a possibility that my eyes will start to get heavy, then I convince myself if I lay down, I will have more strength to keep my eyes open! Yeah right! 50 minutes later I wake up to find the commercials on and I missed my program. I get ever so annoyed with myself, not so much because I missed the program but because I have to winch myself out of the chair and walk about 20 feet to my bedroom. And then I am awake again!

My husband always falling asleep in a couch while watching tv. What can i hear is the snoring. lol
-
if i am really really tired or sick i can...usually i don't...i won't even lay down to nap, because i feel once i get up that's it..i am up for the day...now i have fell asleep in my swing outside, laying down..
-
Never fell asleep at the computer. One the chair is not the most comfortable. It is hubby's. I won't let him use my chair when he is on the computer. But if he is not going to be home for a stretch I will move ming from my desk and use it. But there are times I am in my chair watching TV or reading, lean my head back and I am gone, But only if I am really tired.
-
only if I took some kind of sleeping medication like benedril have I fallen asleep.
-
My husband annoys me no end! He can fall asleep in less than 5 minutes after he goes to bed. Sometimes it takes me hours, even if I felt like I was sleepy before going to bed. Sometimes he will fall asleep in a chair in the evening, with his hand still around the remote or his iPad. It's not fair!! He has always been this way. :)
-
I do, in an armchair. If I want to take a nap right after I eat, it's not healthy to lay down, so I sleep sitting up.
-

-
Only when I'm really tired will I fall asleep in a chair.
-
It happens to me when I sit by the windows. There is a cool breeze by the windows. When I feel the cool breeze, I fall asleep for a while.
-
If I'm extremely tired I do find myself falling asleep sitting in a chair while watching TV but this is only if exhaustion has gotten the best of me. ;)
-
Yes, if I'm really tired!
-
I have never falling asleep in a chair unless I was dead tired.
-
I have never fall asleep in a chair sitting up. Thank You!
-
If I am that tired, I can fall asleep anywhere .. LOL ... I have been known to doze off in the truck while my hubby is driving
-
sometimes if I'm tired enough
-
I do sometimes dose off on the rocking chair and sometimes o the couch while watching a movie with the family. I would say, watching a movie is very difficult for me. The moment the movie starts, my breathing starts slowing down to snoring and then off to lala land. I cannot sit still or finish watching a movie.
-
i fall asleep all the time
-
yes sometimes this happens to me also if I am tried
-
I have dozed at a computer at work
-
Yes, it does seem like I fall asleep in my recliner a lot. I guess I get comfortable in the chair in front of the tv and the window fan and just doze off.
-
Wow that seems hard to do unless you have a real comfortable computer chair 8) I have fallen asleep sitting up on my couch many times. Along those lines has anyone ever fell asleep and when you woke up it was not the time you expected or thought it was a different day and freaked out lol 8)
-
I have gone to sleep watching tv, sitting in break room at work and dose off, sitting at puter. Hope everyone has a good day.
-
Fairly often. Many times while watching tv and sometimes at the computer. I have been so tired I've caught myself trying to nod off sitting at a red light. Not good..
-
I have fallen asleep at the computer several times so far. And just like you watching T.V.. in the evening I also fall asleep even if it is something I want to watch.
-
It kills my neck and shoulders if I do. I'm not as young as I used to be. My body can't handle it.
-
Sometimes I will sit in the lazy boy with my laptop in my lap and fall asleep.
-
Yes
-
I have from time to time.
-
:sad1: Sadly, yes. I do that quite frequently, I can fall asleep sitting at the table with a coffee cup in my hand LOL
-
All the time. It's not very good, but I probably do it 3-4 times a week.
-
i have..it gets comfortable
-
I have never fallen asleep in a chair. I would have to be dead tired or really sick and if I'm in that kind of shape I would be in bed. My dad however can easily fall asleep in a chair. I have caught him many times watching sports on TV and he is sound asleep.
-
No, unless I'm in a car or something. I can pretty much fall asleep in most situations, so I probably can, but I haven't had it happen before.
-
I have family members who do it on a regular basis, but for me it'd have to be a car or something not a regular chair.
-
Well yeah that's happen to me a few times. A few embarrassing personal moments with that on calls on the net lol
-
I sometimes get up in the militant I and get in my chair and go to sleep because I get heartburn and it's easier to sleep in my chair when I have heartburn than to lay down because the acid indigestion gets up my throat and fun way say in my chair it does not and I can sleep the rest of the night.
-
I sometimes fall asleep in my chair at work after lunch or at home on the computer. I do feel really old. I'm afraid I can fal asleep almost anywhere nowadays.
-
i have, but no such luck lately even after spending hours by the computer
-
Oh yes, I've done this many times. I used to snooze at my desk in school all the time. I've also fallen asleep in the chair at the computer a few times. Usually though, if I'm asleep in a chair it's a comfortable armchair or recliner.
-
What I do is what is called a catnap...where you're diving up conch, lol!
-
yes of course I do sometimes fall asleep while sitting up in a chair!! I doze off a lot while sitting at my computer desk, usually for only about 10-15 minutes
-
I have been falling asleep lately at my clients houses.....they be dozing and will always put me in a rocker recliner to sit and chill....when they doze I start to feel so tired and will doze, but when my head drops I will jump and wake up......not good at all.....
-
Whenever I sit down in my recliner, I fall asleep, and I usually wake myself up snoring! LOL Not very attractive my husband has told me! ;)
-
That pretty much never happens to me. I have to believe that it has happened to me at some point in my life...but right now I can't remember it happening. I start feeling tired like that, I just go to sleep.
-
Lately I have been able to fall asleep any where EXCEPT in bed.
-
Nope. No can do. I gotta be laying flat to be able to fall asleep.
-
Sometimes I do if I am really tired.
-
I have also fallen asleep at my computer. In the fall and winter months when I spend more time online than any other time of year I push push push myself to the point of "I'll just rest my head" Next thing I know I'm sleeping and I have an imprint on my forehead from my desk. I've never slept for any length of time though. I usually wake up after a couple of minutes and shut down and just go to bed.
-
Whenever I sit my recliner, I always fall asleep. It seems that is where I get my best sleep.
-
I usually don't fall asleep sitting up by the computer. I try to get to bed before that happens. But it has happened before, especially when I've been up studying very late in the evening, or just staying up too late sometimes. I try to avoid that though. So I don't wake up with QWERTY on my forehead.
-
I have the ability to fall asleep pretty much at will only because sleep is a luxury for me. I work two full time jobs (have off tonight from one of them) that only allow me to sleep between four and five hours a night. I take a fifteen minute break during the day and snooze in my car which usually refreshes me. I stay focused and unsleepy at night because my family depends on me to make as much cash as possible. I have started working out for forty five minutes a day which has really helped my focus and diminished my need for eight hours of sleep per night. I have taken fifteen minute snoozes while sitting on subways-if I can do it there I can sleep sitting up anywhere!
-
Yes, I have. But, it is really rare for me to do so. Usually, the only time it happens is when I'm really exhausted or I'm sick. I have fallen asleep while sitting at the computer a few times, though.
-
Yes I fall asleep sitting up and watching TV also when I am puter. Doesn't matter where I am. Have a good day :moneymouth:
