Title: Let's make brownies
Post by: minioncookies on August 05, 2014, 08:26:30 pm
How would your create your dream brownie/and or what would be your perfect brownie?

Mine would be sweet and simple choclate with a wee bit of hershey fudge on the top and sprinkled with light very light walnuts.

All I know is my dream brownie would be very choclatey, no nuts, not dry, and with frosting on the top, mhmm.

I have never been a brownie fan. But my kids really liked them. Little did they know that one of the main ingredients in the brownies was grated zucchini. Chocolate cake the same way. Heck they did not know they were made any other way. Of course they loved a carrot cake also. One of the snaky ways of getting more veggies in them.

Brownies don't have to be very complicated to be delicious. Just leave the nuts off (I'm allergic) and maybe top with some ice cream and I'm IN!!!

As much as I enjoy brownies I have to be careful with them.  I too have an allergy to nuts (tree nuts) although I can eat raw almonds.  Walnuts, cashews and pecans will kill me.  I ordered a brownie with a friend when we were 17 & 18 years old.  After asking the waitress if there were nuts in them and she confirmed with the kitchen there weren't - I landed in my butt in the ER.  Missed a day of work.  So I learned my lesson and make my own.  I'm actually looking for a Blondie Brownie version (If it exists now)  In the mean time a basic chocolatey brownie with chocolate frosting makes me happy.

Every single one of these dream brownie ideas sound fantastic to me. I like them with nuts and without, with fudge or caramel on top or icing. I like them with ice cream or whipped cream on top or without. I like them with zucchini in them or without. I'm now craving brownies after reading this thread too!

I would like to make them from scratch but just don't turn out good so just always bake from the box.

My dream brownie would have nuts and either fudge or caramel drizzled on top. Most of the time, I like to eat my brownie with homemade vanilla ice cream. :)
