Since most of the time the "crowd" is doing things I do not do I don't want to "fit in" with them.  But, I want to get along with people I am surrounded by and not be made fun of for being different or having different views or beliefs.

I prefer to be on my own, less egos to deal with. if it weren't for the egos that everyone have, people would be so much better to be around.

I enjoy being part of a group of people with compatible personalities, similiar interests, and shared values, but also I have become comfortable being by myself as well.  I think for most people that a balance between group involvement and alone time (and/or time with a spouse) would be ideal, the actual ratio dependent upon one's personality and socialization needs.

I am usually a quiet type of person. I don't do very well with crowds. So I like to have some space but occasionally, I don't mind a good crowd of people that I know or like people who are singing and telling funny jokes.

I used to want to fit in.  Now I am satisfied with just being me.  I have enough friends and enough drama in my life.  I don't need to fit in.

I'm very much a loner.  Trying to deal with too many people at once is exhausting and overwhelming.  I'm happiest with one person at a time.  Besides, I can go faster, adapt to changes easier, if I'm on my own.

I like marching to the beat of my own drum; however, I also like having at least one best friend.  I avoid crowds unless it's really positive energy like a dance or something.

I don't specifically go out of my way to be a part of the crowd or not, I just sorta do whatever.  If it happens to be the popular choice, ok, if not, that's fine to.

I really don't like crowds. I don't want to fit in with the crowd.. if I have to conform and be the way someone else expects I would rather be alone.

I am not one to try and fit in.  Either you like me or you don't.  I really don't care or give a damn.

I like to fit in with people in general....but I do not like being part of a crowd of people.  I don't know if that makes sense..but true for me.

I don't like to stand out in a crowd.  I would rather just blend in and stay in the background.

I am definetly not some one who wants to be in a crowd, but if and why I am in one I like to be able to fit in with everyone there

I've always viewed myself as more of a private person, so I would have to go with not really being part of the crowd.

As a general rule, I am friendly and really easy to get along with. But I'm also quite shy and don't like to stand out from the crowd. Having said that, if I feel strongly about a topic which I don't think everyone gets, then I can't help standing out from the crowd to say my piece. For instance, I will stay quiet in a political debate but if someone leaves a child in a car, I will stand there and argue it's not right until the cows come home!
