For me. a wildfire is more scary because there is no way to hide.
-
Depends on where I live... If there a huge forest on where I live than I would pick tornado because thew wildfire in California seems like hell... If it was a small forest area in the east coast, it should be put down pretty fast.
Tornado will rekt everything
-
I think a tornado is more scary because so many things are happening and you only have a certain amount of time to find shelter
-
have never been either one but a tornado would be the worst. a wild fire you can get out if your smart and don't stay and try to save everything a tornado can come with out warning and not much you can do about it
-
Tornadoes can pop up very suddenly and leave no time to find shelter or safety whereas people should be able to evacuate to safety from a wildfire.
Both are devasting and can destroy everthing.
-
To me Wildfire due to the smoke, hot air,FIRE etc. more toxic.
-
good question - pray that i dont have to experience either one of them.
-
I agree, a wildfire would more scary. At least in a tornado, there is ways to seek shelter but in a wildfire there is very little shelter that could withstand it.
-
Tornado because there's no warning. Wildfire you can actually get away from it and it can be controlled.
-
Tornadoes because they come up so fast!
-
I find both to be huge tradegies depending on where you live.
-
I'm not sure about a Tornado or a Wild fire, but for me it was the sight of seeing my son under a tree and not moving, going to the hospital and later being told he did not make it.....worse feeling I have ever lived thru.....
-
Both are horrible tragedies that I do not want to experience. But, I suppose a tornado would be my pick as the more scary one.
-
Both, but living in Illinois tornado for me, there have been several tornados close to where I live, thankfully none have hit me directly. But wildfire can spread for days if it can't be stopped, tornados only last for so long. Just depends on where you live.
-
Both are bad, but I would say a tornado is worst. A wildfire you know is happening and you have time to get out safely. A tornado you don't have the time it just happens.
-
To me they are both very horrifying. I am scared of fire and tornados are very unpredicable and scary as well. I pray I never have to experience either one. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
-
I think that both are scary. I hope I never experience either. I would think tornadoes are the worst because you may not be prepared for it and they can come on so suddenly.
-
After the tornadoes of 2011 here in ala it would definitely be tornados
-
Wild fire is more manageable so I say tornado.
-
im not sure,,i think a tornado.......
-
I think a tornado is worse and scary. With fire you get time to leave the area and if its enough time you an save your most precious memories. With a tornado you really do not have enough time and they have not figured away of early warning unless they know where it will touch down at.
-
Both are scary, but I think tornado is more scary and it happen suddenly and more frequently

This is a really good question. My husband and I and a pretty lengthy conversation over why we chose differently. When I look at either natural disaster I noted that wildfires move fast and they destroy everything in their path just like a tornado. But I would have to say that a tornado would be scarier because if you live in an area that is prone to wildfires, you can take preventive measure to decrease the chances of having a fire. But living in an area prone to tornados, there is no way of preventing it. When there s a wildfire, firefighters can try to contain the fire, there is no containing a tornado. Also, there are warning signs before a wildfire strikes, you don't get a warning for a tornado. And as for the warning signs, during the wildfire and the firefighters working at containing it, there is time for people to evacuate safely. When a tornado strikes, people only have seconds to find shelter. There is no evacuating. Either way, both wildfires and tornadoes can do an enormous amount of damage. They're dangerous and downright scary.

I agree. Once you're surrounded by fire, you're trapped. With tornadoes you can atleast find a safe place, if you're lucky and ride it out.
-
A tornado only because with a wildfire you would hopefully have enough time to get some where safe.
-
I don't think there's much of a contest here. The tornado hits fast and is gone. It's usually confined to a smaller area.
The wildfire goes on and on and people keep on losing their possessions while more and
more people get seriously injured or die trying to fight it.
Tornado is an act of God (whatchagonna do?) while wildfire is more often than not an act of man (preventable).
-
I find tornados more scary cause they rip up everything. Where as with a wildfire, you may be able to make a trench or something to stop it, depending on how big the fire gets.
-
For me. a wildfire is more scary because there is no way to hide.
It's not like you actually need to hide from a wildfire. Most people are evacuated from their homes well before the fire is even near them. Not the case with tornado, as they pop up suddenly.
-
At least in a wildfire you can usually get warned ahead of time so you can get out the path of the fire. With a tornado it can change direction without any kind of warning and it's moving at a faster pace.
-
I would say a wildfire. At least with a tornado you have a chance of it not coming anywhere's near you but with a wildfire they usually just sweep the landscape. :-\ :-\
-
Hmmm, they're both pretty terrifying. Wildfires can be prevented and contained whereas you can't prevent or contain a tornado. But then again tornadoes can be there for one minute and then they're gone. Yeah, I'm going to stick with both are very scary.
-
Well I think both are very tragic. I couldn't say which it worse.
-
Never been in either, but I would think a wild fire especially if there are a lot of trees and wind!
-
wild fire is the worst because it burns all and everything.
-
I would go with the wildfire being more scary to me. Not only would it be more difficult to get away from a wildfire, I find getting burned as opposed to crushed much worse.
-
we live in the sierra foothills. so wildfires are a real threat, and pretty darn scary.
-
I think they are both equally deadly so I pray that I will never have to experience either one of them.
-
Wildfire. It can spread for miles even with people attempting to put it out.
-
I think they're both really scary and dangerous. I wouldn't want to be confronted with either possibility. But I think out of the two, I would rather deal with a wildfire, since you probably get more warning that it's coming your way. A tornado is very unpredictable, giving you little time to escape. That sounds just a little bit worse somehow.
-
They are both bad and they both scare me. A wildfire would be scary because it can destroy a larger area than most other things and the only way to get away is to completely leave the area. A tornado can leave a large path, but there are places to hide/
-
Wildfire is more scary to me,because its hard to scape from it if we get trap, tornadoes can be scary too in the middle of the night but we have a weather radio that can wake up us if there`s a tornado coming and we have a basement in our house so for me is less scary than the wildfire.
-

For me they are both equally as devastating. They each can and do take lives and your world things that you own.
