I don't like to admit it, but pretty much all of it is prepackaged. :-\ I'm hoping to change that in the near future though. It would be nice to learn how to prepare dishes instead of just sticking things in the microwave all the time.

This depends both on what time I have and what I make.  I made an all-in-one chicken & dressing dish Sunday.  Cooked up the chicken and onions myself--even cut up the onions--but used two boxes of stovetop-type stuffing in the dish.

It depends. Sometimes I'll combine both for the same meal. Sometimes it's about just using what I have.

Depends on who's cooking, my husband does a lot of homemade, I don't have much patience for that route, so it's cans and packages here :)

It's kinda both for us. We buy things that might already be mostly "put together" and we have finish it by either adding in the missing ingredients or finishing it by cooking it. We don't buy much ready-to-eat from the package stuff if we can avoid it. Most of what we eat requires at least cooking on the stove top, using the toaster oven or baking in the oven. But yes, we do still eat things (probably too many of them) that can be 'cooked' in the microwave.

i prefer home made but sometimes i dont have time to cook so i grab whatever i think is good that is already prepackaged so i can just mix together and heat up.

More homemade these days.  I cook meals on Sundays and eat them throughout the week.

My husband takes the time every day to make a really nice homemade meal. We feel it is important to have one nice meal together each day now that our children are grown and out of the house. We always have a nice salad with the meal. I do the dishes afterwards which doesn't bother me because I enjoy the meals he makes so much.

I do both also.  However, I live alone and am leaning more heavily toward convenience foods.  Luckily, there are more healthy choices in stores now...if you look for them.  I am good at 'doctoring" some of these into something you can't tell isn't homemade.  Depends on my mood!!!!

Most of my meals are homemade but I do keep package meals around so there's something quick if I need it.

I know homemade is much better for you and it def tastes much better, and I def love homemade or food from scratch.  But I have to admit I use more prepackaged food than I would like to.  Just don't have the time! A lot of the good stuff is more expensive as well.  Hope to do better with this one in future!

I love to make home made foods for my family and I enjoy the skill of cooking tasty food. However there are some foods that I just can't recreate and one of those is bread! I can make bread, pizza dough and other things however they are never quite as good as store bought items. So if the price of a nice loaf of bread is only $2, I tell myself it wouldn't have been cheaper to make it myself anyway. But I do love to cook spaghetti, lasagna, pot roast and jambalaya as well as muffins, cupcakes and treats! And I think I'm pretty good at it!

You can Google how to make bread or go to recipes.com. I make bread from scratch. There are also bread makers and you can purchase the prepackaged mix and whoola, fresh bread. There's nothing like that smell in your home.

My mom is a wonderful cook.  I always prefer homemade food over prepackaged food.  Homemade food is healthier as well, because you know what ingredients the food contains.

I use both.  If I am in a hurry, I use prepackaged food.  I prefer to do things home made because to me they taste better.

It is usually homemade at our house. But I do keep some prepackaged just in case I am not feeling great and I need something made in a hurry. Hubby is pretty easy to feed and on top of it he likes to grill, so that works out good for us . One or the other cooks enough for at lest 2-3 meals. Cook one kind of meat and then add and or change the veggies. I am so thankful that I have a husband who will cook some.

Homemade - it takes longer but it is worth it - I have eaten a lot of processed food in my life when I was raising a family and worked a lot but my sons and I try to make everything homemade now which tastes better and is certainly better for you.

I am fortunate to have home made food available to me. Pre-packaged food these days is laden with chemicals and is Genetically Modified. The fresher is the better for everyone's well being. When someone gets sick, they try everything to get well. When someone is healthy, they sometimes take it for granted.

I do both but the majority of my foods are homemade as opposed to prepackaged.  I feel homemade foods are healthier for you and you can control what goes into the making of the dish, whereas with prepackaged foods you use whatever is in the package.  :)

I believe this is one of the answers to why so many people in america have health problems.  I certainly do the home made thing.
