It's been so bittersweet to watch his farewell tour....so great to see him so appreciated....but I'm going to miss him playing for the best team in the world..
-
He's a class act, but I agree with most people...he shouldn't have played those last few in Boston.
-
I tip my hat off and a standing ovation to the guy. I am not a NEW York Yankee fan but I think he is a class act in every sense of the word. Well done Jeter and good luck to the rest of your life outside of Baseball!!!

One of the few class acts left in all of sports really.
-
I root for whoever is playing against the Yankees, but I agree Derek is first class all the way. Too bad he didn't play for a less arrogant team.
-
Yes, he is a classy guy and seems so humble as well.
-
I have been a Yankee fan for 55+ years.
Jeter certainly a class act and excellent player.
I was tired tho of thats all you heard about and read RE him.
Without the distractions of Jeter or Rivera retiring next year i hope the team can make the play-offs again!!

I don't follow baseball but I know Jeter. I'll miss seeing him, he was a cutie for sure. :silly:

My brother is a huge Yankees/Jeter fan.He dropped some serious coin to be there for his last game in Fenway.
I'm not the biggest baseball fan (football is my sport) but Jeter is a class act and was a phenomenal player in his time.I wish him all the best for his future endeavors.

Derek Jeter is the best...there are few athletes out there that really make me take notice. Hes a class act and a staple for New York City. Good luck to him...as I tip my hat...

I have been a Yankee fan all my life and was glad to have watched Jeter play all these years and be successful. It was fitting to have him play until the end and have a great finishing moment at Yankee Stadium against the Orioles. I am glad he still played at Boston until the end even though it was just batting DH because it would not be Jeter like to not play if he could, he is a professional and it is his job so he did it until his last game. I am sure he will take a nice rest but it would be great to see him back in baseball in the future in some capacity :highfive: It might be a long long time to see a player like him again

If winning is arrogant so be it, YANKEES RULE, 27 World Championships, Ruth, Gehring, DiMaggio, Berra, Ford, Hunter, Jackson, Guidry, Clemmons, Pettite, Rivera, Posada, JETER, and many others, GET OVER IT! People like to see winners and great managers. Not surprised by the comment and its source. :peace:

I don't follow baseball anymore but I've heard good things about Jeter. Hope he does well in his retirement.

My sons idol is now gone! :( For the last 5 yrs that my son has idolized Jeter and his team the NY Yankees since the young age of 3! He knows ALL the players, numbers, positions, etc... He is going to be 8 this month and will remember this year forever! So long Captain! We will miss you!! xoxo :)

What an outstanding career in baseball...20 years with NYY. Excellent player. Good luck to him in retirement.
