One of the most beautiful I've seen so far is in Mathieson, Il... near starved Rock in Ottawa, Il. Lot's of historical features. Beautiful.

That sounds like a lot of fun! We have hiked but only for a day trip.

Sounds like something my dad would like to do. He's hiked the Appalachian before. Hiking is one of his favorite things to do when the weather is right for it. Camping every now and then too. It would take a lot for me to agree to something like that, haha. I'm too out of shape, would worry about access to sanitary "facilities," worry about being attacked by bears, etc., etc.!!! Scaredy cat. :cat: Have fun and be safe! I hope you enjoy it.
