what would they be for you?
saving money?
better experience in daily activities?
better dining room [efficiency of service]?
more access to public outings?

There are some pros and cons to moving and we have to weigh them out when we consider such a venture. If I moved staying in the same city, my hairdresser would follow me and my doctor would follow me.

I can't imagine moving when it comes down to it. My sons and I thought about moving recently to be closer to some of my deceased husband's family but decided to stay here. Don't want to be anywhere with harsher weather for one thing so that means staying in Florida.

Since we have lived in the same house for 40 years, I think it's out of the question. I will be here as long as I can negotiate the stairs or reach the point of puching up daisies (or tulips) :rose: :rose: :rose:
I can't even imagine what we would do with all my wife's stored stuff anyway. Maybe if they pay me to be on the Hoarders TV show it might help? :peace:

Some move a change of scenery :)

Money would be the number 1 reason for me.

I live in a small town without mass transit, no craft stores and our only big chain store is a regular Walmart. It seemed like a good idea when I moved down here, but now I look forward to moving back to the city someday.

Mostly save more money or just to get away from some neighbors.

Well being robbed too many times and living in a bad neighborhood are a good reason. My mom and I recently moved because the neighborhood we were in was getting bad and we have had trouble with being burgularized.
-
Moving would be more space for the children.

I just moved at the beginning of October. I really don't enjoy relocating because I have to find a new place for everything in my apartment; however, I was evicted because I was feeding a couple of stray cats. Here, in Utah, if you're on a month-to-month lease, a landlord does NOT need to have just cause to evict a tenant. It's okay, though. I like my new place and I still go back to the old apartment to feed my 4 legged friends.
I always feel blessed knowing that I have a roof over my head.

Moving is not my favorite thing to do, but I would like to move to a warmer climate that is warm year round. This cold weather is a *bleep* to handle.

My last move was back to where I was born. My dad is getting up there and my brother is getting too old too have to try it all on his own. Of course my sister is in Alaska. and is far too good to have to move back according to her. So it was up to me and I miss my friends. Even though I was raised here and so were my boys, I left 32 years ago and have now been back 7 . But it is not the same. I know a lot of people but their are not my girlfriends and buddies. Oh well such is life.

I would only move to be closer to family, a bigger home, if I absolutely needed to downsize, or if I wanted to be closer to a job or find better employment opportunities.
-
A reason for me to move would be; Crime in the neighborhood, Having very bad neighbors, my spouse got a very good job offer elsewhere.

Our last move was based on our children's needs. We moved six blocks so that they could go to the best elementary school in the state which saved us a bundle on private school. Middle school was a huge waste and we probably should have just let the kids skip seventh and eight grade-they had tested high enough but we thought the socialization was important-we were wrong and it is one of my few regrets. We also moved to this area because of the proximity to sports fields. My wife and I are both athletic and were pretty certain that our kids would follow in our foot steps-which they did. We are close to movie theaters, shopping malls and grocery stores. There are plenty of other children in the area so transporting the kids never really presents a problem.

Reasons to move for me are bad neighbors and the area in general. I think moving stinks, but if you got to do it, do it. (-:

There are pros and cons that are unique to everyone, but I think for just about everyone there is one reason that overshadows the rest. MONEY
-
I know some people who work online, move to another place because of unstable internet
I would move to a location if the place is nice, easy to commute, and tolerable weather
-
My reason for moving would be for college, better opportunities for internships, and a fresh start.
