I'm ready because I know the true meaning of the holiday. Give gifts, but don't forget the reason for the season!

That's so nice you have your shopping money taken care of.

Well, I'm ready as in having a plan, but it's too early to do some things.  There's so much to do...  :present:

No I'm not ready for the holidays. I've hardly done any thinking at all about the Thanksgiving meal. I know we will be having appetizers, turkey, baked potatoes, a veggie, and pie with ice cream for dessert but the family hasn't divided up who will bring what yet. And Christmas is a whole other thing. Don't start thinking about that until after Thanksgiving.

I'm ready.  We try to not get too crazy with shopping, so it's not too stressful.

I am looking forward to celebrating the birth of Christ and spending time with my family. As the family's of my brothers and sisters we no longet buy gifts for each other, but it is very enjoyable to just sit around and visit and snack some. We do have a large dinner and every one brings side dishes. I have 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

Sort of.  Not really.  I actually thought about asking people what they'd want as a gift, but that's about it.  Considering normally I do that in December, I'm calling that a win.

I look forward to seeing the Christmas lights and TV shows more than the actual shopping. To me it's x-mas shopping isn't fun unless I'm buying for myself  ;)

I'm not ready. I'm almost ready for Thanksgiving, but definitely not ready for Christmas.

Metsrocks...you never fail to amaze! I actually took off one day, from two of my jobs, for Thanksgiving and enjoyed some time with the family. I am taking off two days at Christmas as well.  I am not able to escape work very often (which isn't too terrible compared to not working at all) so my wife has become my personal shopper when I don't make on lone purchases. She doesn't mind-she actually enjoys shopping (a bit too much for my liking). I have so many end of the year projects and deadlines that I am forsaking my health and the joy I get from going to the gym. My meals are, basically, everyone else's leftovers tossed into a Tupperware container on my way to the day time job. I guess I am prepared for eating as well since I have gained wait with the sedentary desk jockey lifestyle.

I am one of "those" you see finishing up at the last minute on Christmas Eve!  No matter how soon I start; I always seem to finish last minute!   ::)
